A rec. pond for a family with four small kids seems like the best 20 year investment ever. The pea gravel beach looks like the best alternative to the 'sand' problems. This is the best rec. pond how-to that I've ever seen. And of course the art is the final congratulations.

Jaak, Can you leave that system running all-year-round or do you need to cover up the pumps with some kind of building???
@AtlantisWaterGardens Жыл бұрын
Yea, most folks leave theirs running year-round. It really depends on what part of the country you're in. If it gets really cold, you'll want to add aeration to keep ice from forming.

First off, amazing work to all of the team at Atlantis Water Gardens. I have a plumbing question tho! On a small pond you connect your buried line into the back of a biofalls, but how do you run the plumbing for the wetland on a larger project like this? I don't think I've seen that on any of the builds yet. Hats off to you guys.
@AtlantisWaterGardens3 ай бұрын
It's usually done the same way, just a different number sizes of lines

Jaak, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this rec pond! But I have a question,what is the black rectangle in the bottom of your intake bay? Is that another layer of filtration?
@AtlantisWaterGardens8 ай бұрын
Correct! More filtration.

Is the wetland filter the only filtration going on in a pond like this, or are there some sort of more traditional mechanical filters somewhere?

What a work of art but I'm curious about 1 thing. I noticed that the aquablocks are visible in the intake bay unlike other water features on your channel. Was there a reason they weren't fully disguised?

Love the pond, and all the projects for that matter! A true artist! Do the pumps have to continuously run to keep the systems ready to go? I imagine they have to be run periodical to keep the system clean and functional? Like a pool cycles daily?

Jaak, that pond Looks like it's going to overfill soon, do you have a low edge drain on it??? Do you have to use another pump to pump the water out? Certain times of the year my pond will get too much water in it I have a valve on the side of the Iowa falls to let it out, but I would like to use something different I have to go out in the rain to open it?? And I don't have a skimmer I have an intake bay. And my Backyards pretty flat!!!😢
