Thanks for the tips bob! Never knew that you can whistle for your ladder, or you can zip above deck by manning the sails. I wish that instinct games could've worked on the atlas beta like they did in the ark beta. But it was fun seeing them go from a dino survival to a pirate survival. Keep up the good work bob!

Never knew about the ladder whistle before and I always had to struggle to get back on the boat especially when I had not grappling hook so you really helped me out there

Whistle ladder is great also if you have your ship docked and the ladder is glitched(it does this if you park too close to your dock) whistle it twice and it will fix it.

Add in for tornadoes just look behind when sailing as they only spawn in the direction your looking.

The med kit thing is the same with the glider suit if your sprint is active you will just nose dive instantly

I would look for it on sale. It drops to $6-12 often and is worth it at that price. They are doing lots of updates right now so it's been kind of hit or miss tbh.

It’s a great game I definitely recommend they have done a lot of QOL updates and are adding more content and making the game altogether better (if you’ve ever played Ark this game is much better about fixing bugs and glitches)

Wish I knew the quick transfer on xbox where you hold a to move whole stack or pushing the rb to move from one inventory to another or changing the lantern color by painting it. That yellow is a literal eye sore.

X to look at target's inventory is an old school Ark trick, btw. It's F on the keyboard.

I’ve only had FPS issues a few times in solo, but you’re gonna lag on official servers when you get around large builds. Be careful when sailing into large player made ports. I wrecked a ship because of the server lag.

Bob, do you still play this? Or do you think it's worth a revisit, as far as single player goes, currently in 2021. I know they've made some big changes and for a while there, I thought it was abandoned.

I'm taking a break from it. Started my channel playing Atlas on Xbox and made 100 or so videos. I haven't seen any improvement to single player. in fact it's gotten worse I'd say. I'd love to revisit it but I think they are focused on PVP and ignoring the rest.

Well I noticed the Blackwood map and have never tried it. So I may just tool around for a while. I just found your videos and they actually got me hyped for jumping in. I'm just a fan of pirates and can only play Black Flag so many times. Although I do love it. You got a new sub anyway and I'm looking forward to checking out some of your other videos.

I agree! It looks to me like they are pushing updates about every two months. If you look at ARK Crystal Iles DLC they seem to take most of the normal animal tames from Atlas and put them into ARK...Would be nice if they would send some the other way now! I need a freaking Argy!

I think it’s about $12 on the Steam sale. It’s worth that to me. The update should be in a few weeks so we don’t know what’s going to change yet.

Nope its not worth even 5bucks rn..the trading update broke the entire game down to its core,unless u enjoy wasting a thousand hours on a sloop getting enough gold to even start the game i would not bother until the devs remove that retarded 50k gold cost to build a galleon,18k forva brig and 5k for a schooner...this was the absolute dumbest change ever made on every single game ever created

You have to put a claim flag on it. Make sure it is claimable, not in the Lawless area or already claimed by someone else.

U cant,not on pvp nor on pve...blame atlas dumbass devs for that,ppl just zip around the entire map by fast travel beds so their flags are ALLWAYS upkept meaning u literally cannot enjoy this game nor ANY of its features unless ur in a huge company or u got no life

Citrine I didn’t like the Tech aspect of ARK. The Dino’s were cool, but it got crazy with all the tech IMO.

@@SurvivalBobGaming They had a mod, which to me is what spawned this called Survival Plus which was AMAZING. It was sponsored for a little while. They are working on a new version of it now, though it's patreons only. Basically it had ship building and stuff before Atlas was ever talked about. To me it's what Atlas SHOULD have in it. Basically you have professions such as masons, blacksmiths, hunters, bankers, etc. You can only spec into one or 2 professions on most servers. There were shipwrights and others too like carpenters. They had merchants, trade stalls, functioning banks. It was really fun. It also eliminated almost all tames, minus realistic tames like phiomias, horses, dodos, etc. Your weapons were limited to super primitives like crossbows and iron spears which made larger dinos a real challenge. I still play it time to time with friends locally but it's deprecated now :( steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=829467257
