I had a tour of IAH so I was able to go on the ramp and taxiways and do some exploring. We sat at around the 8,000 ft mark at 15L when This plane came along. He went right by our faces from about 100 feet away!

That is a charter flight to Angola. Its for the oil companies.

Are you sure about that date? 29 Dec 2013 was a Sunday and the flight operated Mon/Wed/Fri at that time. Later, after the price of oil tanked, the loads dropped off so they cut the frequency to Mon/Wed.

John Steiner Can’t remember, to be honest. They sometimes operate charter flights with these aircraft so that may have been what they were doing.
