Agree with you on the fact that it feels premium. I shot a titan a month or so ago and shouldn’t have….. went ahead and ordered an Apollo. Atlas is creating magic 🏁
@jaceprovoАй бұрын
I own this gun as well as an atlas Athena. I have several thousand rounds through it. It is true. It does not like cheap or weak ammo. The compensator and the light recoil spring don’t do well with it. Pretty much any 124 grain ammo will rip right through it like there’s no tomorrow. That’s even in the paperwork that comes with it. Tio use your analogy, You don’t put shitty gasoline in a Ferrari and expect to get good performance. have S & B 115 grain which actually has a pretty high power factor and mag tech 115 through it with no problems. But it definitely prefers 124. My Athena, on the other hand, will eat anything and ask for more. There is no grip safety on any atlas nor is it an option. It doesn’t have iron sites on purpose because it’s a competition gun designed to be used with a red dot. This doesn’t bother me at all as that’s what I signed up for. You would have to have a front iron site put on it aftermarket. The atlas Athena, Apollo and Artemis all have iron sides for back up. Atlas gun Works does not make guns made by a single person. That’s nighthawk. What they do is they take the production gun and make it to such ridiculous tolerances that it is absolutely amazing. Regarding trigger weight, mine comes in at 1.5 pounds on Lyman gauge. It’s amazing how quickly you get used to that. But handed to the average shooter and they’re going to have an accidental discharge. Just prepping regular trigger will set this trigger off. But you are right it’s not for everybody. As you go up the price range you get very diminishing returns. This is really the top of the pyramid. Thanks for the video. Enjoyed it.

Thank you for watching and giving you personal regular use insights.. Someone else had corrected my mistake about a single smith assembling the guns at Atlas. I had did some content on Nighthawk with another Gun Tuber recently before I did this, so I believe I had Nighthawk on the brain when I said that.. But appreciate the confirmation that I was incorrect.. I will address that in a future video. Once again thank you and appreciate you🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

"The negative is the wait. The only other negative is the weight." That threw me off, haha. Nice video!

Yeah when I played it back during editing it threw me off also, that’s why I had to put the text to make sure that was clear distinction was made between wait and weight 🤣🤣🤣

I never had any guns over $1200 and even that is a big stretch for me. I will say i never shot a 1911/2011 and the only one I want will be a Staccato XL. I mean i have researched what i best can save up for. Also at this point with the technology advancement in firearms what more do people expect the gun to do seriously. At this point we are just paying for a name of those companies who are marketed by the most gun influencers. I am not hating on what anyone can afford but for me the Staccato would be it and i just have to train constantly. I never wanted to get into competition as far as for medals that isn't my thing to be noticed. I just want to be trained by qualified people at my range and learn how to improve my times so i can be faster than the criminal trying to take my life if i see them coming. Nice video and first time seeing your channel. Also i will say that gun is designed real nice. Way out of my price range. But if one was available at my gun store to rent i would just for the experience it. Guns loke this i will only get if its also fitted for EDC. I dont buy guns to collect or just for competition, for me it will be multiple uses. Just subscribed

I agree with you, like I mentioned on the videos this gun is not for everyone and was designed for competition shooting.. Thank you for taking the time to watch, comment and subscribe.. truly appreciate you🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

You are of course absolutely correct. If you’re focus is home defense and EDC, Atlas is not worth the money. For that matter, or most 2011s. I can only have one gun, I would probably take a CZ (many would say Glock and they too would be right on). They are built like tanks, pretty much indestructible and can run forever without being cleaned. The CZ SP 01 is under $1000 stock with a little bit of work on the trigger you’re still under your $1200 mark and a gun that will never wear out and shoots like its a tack driver.

@Jessieblandin First off, thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. 2nd, I tell people all the time have a practical purpose for buying a firearm, Don’t just buy it for the name sake.. My Shadow Systems MR9 elite was my absolute favorite handgun I had ever shot. Until I went to my local Staccato range day, and it was literally! Love at first shot, the XC and XL felt like the slide was covered in Astroglide & Butter!! But when I shot the C2 I told my wife, babe this is the one. It’s perfect for daily carry, duty, hard tactical pistol training or just sending rounds down range all day.. on top of being super accurate and and easy to shoot, whenever I shoot my Staccato I feel confident I will hit the target within 30yards without really trying, I call all my shots and know exactly where every round hits before ever walking up to the paper to see my hits. I know when I anticipated a shot and shot low left, or when I jerk the shit out the trigger and hit high right. It’s just unbelievable how the staccato makes shooting seem so easy. Don’t get me wrong I am a very good shot with any pistol once I shot it and get use to how it feels.. But the staccato is hands down my favorite pistol to shoot. So it’s good to be able to use for personal defense, duty, home defense and just shooting in general..

You would be in "Open" class with that gun and serious Open competitive shooters wouldn't shoot something like that. That comp doesn't work as well as a multi-port comp. Also, comps need high pressure/slow burning powder to get the most from them. The average shooter that can afford something like this and doesn't reload will not get full benefit of the comp but you would have the coolest gun at the range.

I am sure you are correct

Only problem this gun has is once you shot it you will get spoiled. Do not try it you will get addicted to it. Take this to a gun range for fun is like cheating the physics. I know it $7000 price range but shoot it you will feel it

@sealeystrategics9915Ай бұрын
I hear you, was told it’s a one person build. At the end of the day it truly doesn’t matter.

Pretty sure this is not a one person who makes each pistol. Also, the wait is negligible compared to other production style pistols.

No worries but get a better rep. Its a racegun so no need for irons ( like the sandviper) check out their new pistols. Apollo, Eos, Aries or their classics. Artemis, nyx Athena. Good luck.@sealeystrategics9915

There is no comparison between erebus and staccato
@sealeystrategics9915Ай бұрын
Pretty sure I wasn’t comparing the two..
@jaceprovoАй бұрын
I politely beg to differ. There is absolutely a comparison. the staccato represents the Lexus/Mercedes-Benz class of 2011s. The atlas represents the Ferrari. A staccato XC can get to 98% of what the average person can do with an atlas. I shoot regularly with a friend of mine who has a very tricked out staccato XC, chili, steel grip, Infinity trigger and internals. It’s an absolutely amazing gun and I enjoy shooting it, but it is 98% of the atlas stock out of the bag. I will tell you that even though I own Atlases and nighthawks and Wilson’s my personal home defense gun is a staccato P limited with omega nine K suppressor on the front. I changed the recoil spring and did a trigger job to it but that’s it. I trust my life to it. 20 11s can be picky and require maintenance just like a Ferrari but the Staccato P goes bang every time with any ammo I have in it.
@sealeystrategics9915Ай бұрын
@jaceprovo yeah I totally get it. I guess for me, running into that ammo limitations with Erebus is why I feel my Staccato is a better comparable option..
