I believe the Cargo Rack percentage for the Galleon is 6.6% (Not sure why the site says 6 and two thirds percent) per rack. I think it works like if you have all possible cargo racks on your boat, it reduces speed by 40%, so schooner is 40% / 2 racks at 20% each, and a Galleon is 40% / 6 racks.

Just a note, the cargo racks speed reduction is based on the max number of racks each ship can hold. If you have the max number allowed, it's a flat 40% reduction regardless of ship. That's why the schooner is 20% each one because it can only hold 2. Brig hold four and each one is 10%. The wiki can word things a little weird sometimes but the galleon is 6.67% per rack. Just wanted to clarify

Can someone please explain to me on why people always use the handling sails instead of the speed sails?

2 turning sails the rest speed sails... Open your decks when you place them so u can add tames to help harvest. 180 resistance the rest in weight.

I usually only used this galleon for hauling resources and trading. Had tames set up at each out post. This ship sadly despawned a couple weeks ago, was absolutely gutted as it was my first galleon on official. Built a new one but it's a little different to say the least haha I have a build video for it coming soon. Going to build a more practical one more along the lines of what you described soon though. Ohh and regarding the sails I changed the ones in the video for 6 speed sails in the end, it was quick but handling was dreadful of course. Am currently running 3 handling and 3 speed on my new one and that seems pretty good so far. Thanks for watching and for the suggestions 🙂🤘

Is the weight reduction for the cargo racks worth the built in speed reduction?

Yes, you can get a lot of resources shifted with the racks. We only use 4 and that seems enough and you dont get the full reduction then. I definitely recommend them 🤘🙂

Hey yea this is from the EU Official if your you mean the mini map and compass at top of screen, it's from the sextant buff. Make sextant, find at least 4 stars in the time limit and then you get the sextant buff. The more stars you find in the time limit, the longer the buff lasts.

I believe its 6.6% yes. With all 6 on it would be a 40% reduction. 20% per rack on schooner 10% per rack on a brigantine And around 6.6% on a galleon
