My favorite games in the late 90’s as a 7 to 10 years old kid were Sonic Adventure, Sonic Shuffle, Snowboard Kids 1 and 2, Mario Party 1 and 2, Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo Kazooie, Crash Bandicoot Warped, Crash Team Racing, Spyro the Dragon and Walt Disney Racing Magical Racing Tour. Also don’t forget the wrestling games WWF Smackdown on the PlayStation and WWF Wrestlemania on the Nintendo along with WCW Nitro on both consoles lol.

It was my first game on the Nintendo. The store we bought it at didn't have more copies of SM64, so they gave me snowboard kids. I remember it was so... intimidating and cool. Getting the feather after doing tricks in the halfpipe for ages was INSANE, i remember the feeling so well of achieving the feather board. And the desert map... Omg, I spent months before winning it. I remember also on Nintendo you could not save anything, so you had to win the game in one sitting, which made it just more difficult. The multiplayer mode was amazing, played it all the time with my friends, and as you say, the items are really really awesome in this game.

I loved Snowboard Kids when I was a child. Haven’t played it since the 90s but this video is bringing back fond memories.

Awesome start to the channel; I was a longtime CC follower and I'm looking forward to seeing where this channel goes. For future episodes, might I suggest Mischief Makers and/or Tonic Trouble? I remember stumbling across those games as a kid and being the only one in my group who remembers them.

I loved these games growing up. I still occasionally listen to SK2's soundtrack. 6:44 - You can also deflect a shot if you perfectly time a tail grab trick. Though I'm not sure if that was in the first game or introduced in the sequel. Either way, it was always super satisfying to pull that off, but it was difficult.

IIRC the deflect was only introduced in SK2. And yeah the soundtracks to this and the sequel are awesome!

Good video as always. My siblings and I were definitely in the minority as we preferred SBK over Mario Kart. It was a love/hate relationship, but the battles for the ski lifts were very exciting.

So many memories.... playing this at a birthday party for the first time and struggling with the turns on Rookie Mt...then Big Snowman loaded up and it just blew my mind! Linda with L3 Alpine or Starboard absolutely OP even vs Shinobin and his Alpine IMO

Start screen, press down on the control stick, up on the control stick, down on the D-pad, UP on the D-pad, C-Down, C-Up, L, R, Z, LEFT on the D-pad, C-Right, UP on the control stick, B, RIGHT on the D-pad, C-Left, and then START....YEAAAAAH!

I never got to play sk1 but sk2 was one of my all time favorites growing up! And it has some underrated bangers on that soundtrack!

I've known about Snowboard Kids growing up through mentions in rental shops, magazines and websites. 🏂 While I haven't played the games in this series, digging through it has me intrigued to give this and the sequel a playthrough sometime. 😊👍 Your video is sure to intrigue those into giving them a shot and even those growing up must find this to be a great video to help them get into these games again.

Wow, didn’t expect Snowboard Kids, a game I only own because when my mum took me to the store when I was a child they didn’t have Ocarina of Time in stock and I wouldn’t leave without *some* new N64 game, to be that expensive nowadays. I had a good time with it but I never even knew it had sequels, always felt like one-and-done to me. Nice to know the company is still around, even though the series isn’t. Damn, now I want Snowboard Kids for Nintendo Switch Online.

I was lucky enough to grow up with Snowboard Kids. I always liked the game a lot, though not as much as Diddy Kong Racing and F-Zero X. It's just incredibly charming, a lot of fun and has an amazing OST.

This game came out when I was in the 5th grade but I mostly rented it when there wasn't anytime else at the store. I had some fun and didn't know about the sequels until years later. I remember the store I used to rent it from selling it used for like $4.99 when I was in highschool

I played the N64 version as a kid and loved it. I got the PlayStation version 11 years ago from Japan, and I enjoy it better. To me the controls are better, and despite running a little slower, they toned down the difficulty a little bit.I recently played both versions again, and while the N64 version is great, I like Plus better. But I agree if they remastered the N64 game, but added the features of Plus, then it would be the best version of the game.

My brother and I had this game growing up and we honestly thought this game was More fun than 1080 snowboarding I hope you talk about the sequel because I think it's better in every way

We just need to keep bugging Atlus/Sega that we want a remake or enhanced version of these games. Since Sega bought Atlus back in 2013 I reached out to their twitter pages and telling them we want these games, and made a tweet tagging Atlus, Sega, and Nintendo to bring it to the N64 on NSO.
