@@jsilva4706 because p5r was made after the p5s idea. P5r is more of a hypothetical route of "what if" events, changing the entire storyline. Therefore giving fans a happy empty feeling "dream". The game p5r revolves around Dreams, so the concept is to fans feel like the "what if" version of the original p5 story is "even real". P5s was a vanilla collab that was created before they decided to make a reboot to p5's Storyboard, creating a fanservice version: p5r adding in new things and fans complaints about certain Character's dying "should live" (though i think that Character should have stayed dead). Bringing their fan's dreams to reality and atlus bringing their Original ideas into reality. Due to time crunch they explained p5 had lots of game errors, character development errors and story progressing errors. They do this to every single game of their franchise.

@@しゅー-y8l P5R is not a what if,it's a directly canon just as P3P or Golden is. Like you said they do this with all their games, they directly retcon or change things to fit the narrative. In this case P5R was the games true ending, and if things like new game plus are anything to go by, it's possible for joker to relive some of his older memories multiple times so it's completely possible it's not a what if scenario.

I think it's a mix between studios... I dunno. All the segments with normal colors look like the P5R opening but the segments in red, black and white look exactly like P5's opening... Maybe Production I.G. had a hand in there ?
