I got to the final section at the hospital and couldn't take it anymore, litterally twelve thousand enemies in a single room, half of them are almost indestructible, jankyness to the point that i was laughing manically, don't know how i got that far without ending up in a mental institution. Funny thing is only like 8% of people got to that point according to achievements so i'm gonna have to assume that most of the morons who think the game is good didn't even finish it. Thankfully i played it on game pass and didn't spend money on this clusterfuck like oh my good i'm gonna need therapy to recover from this mess 🤣🤣

“Non stop”? I was having the exact opposite problem, I couldn’t find enough enemies to kill. As soon as you beat a wave and aren’t just standing in front of a camera, no more bots spawn, simple. Also, if your bots are re spawning, YOU SHOULD DEAL WITH THE REPAIR BOTS REPAIRING THEM, or heck, MOVE AWAY. It is by all means not a difficult concept.

It’s called talking out the robots that repair them, I don’t understand why the concept is so difficult, you have so many options, even on max difficulty ammo wasn’t a big concern because of how great some of the melee weapons where. It’s not even that difficult, the only fight I found myself remotely struggling was the twins because I ran out of heals.

I would recommend replaying atomic heart at some point, sadly the game doesn’t explain some of its mechanics very well in some fields (personally I dident know you could break cameras until the end of the game).

@@MEN101 I understand what you mean, a lot of newer game do increase the difficulty, what’s sad is they haven’t just been buffing the hardest mode like they should, instead they buff all the modes and that does not work out well for more casual gamers. Also, don’t worry much about atomic hearts open world section, it’s not that bad and still is pretty linear. (Compared to other open world games I mean). Apologies for the original comment also, I was frustrated that people disliked one of my favorite games.

Honestly the main character was kinda annoying with the whole “omg will you shut up Charles.” He was just being a dick to it the whole time, it got annoying. The game itself was a solid 6 in my opinion. It lacked variety and the combat never “peaked.” It always felt like it was about to get good but the sad reality was that average is about as good as it gets. The beginning of the game had me excited because it felt like it really was gonna be like bioshock were you start with limited resources and you gotta loot but it wasn’t the case later. First red flag for me was how the character is asking for weapons and that he needs a gun. And all of the sudden you have a shot gun lmao. With all this being said, I will probably NOT forget this game for a while. It was soooo bizarre and had a unique aesthetic. That upgrade menu music is soooooo good too.

Idk if anyone else caught this but I sure did… maybe I didn’t play enough and there was more of an explanation. Anyways, there’s a section in the beginning where there is a room where it’s super hot and you can’t get into yet. The “narrator” guy you talk to said they are modifying the plants in that room to sustain high heat for when they colonize Mars…. but in reality, Mars is cold AF. I couldn’t believe that nobody caught that while creating this game. That was the nail in the coffin for me…. Of course there were alot of nails but that particular moment hit me hard in my Nerd Heart

reimagining atomic heart: 1. robots can have weapons such as bats, guns, knives and more 2. twins will look intimidating instead of beautiful such as their appearance will have mask, they will be wearing long dress and will have missing lower body to float and they can also have long nails 3. hedgie will get into phase 2 when its health is low and in phase 2 hedgie will turn into bayblade like driller 4. bosses will become common enemies in future dlcs (their health will be also lowered) 5. you can make rafaks follow you and help you similar to half life npcs

I gave the demo a try because I considered buying it during the Steam Christmas sale. I went in unbiased and just wanted to see if I could get some enjoyment out of it. By the time I reached the first save room I was ready to quit. Shortly after when I died due to the combat being really clunky I quit the demo thinking I had played like 2 or 3 hours. In reality it was 50 minutes. I was so bored and disappointed by this game that I felt I had already wasted hours on it even though it was less than one. I uninstalled Atomic Heart afterwards and discarded the whole idea of ever buying it...

Ok I have to disagree as a bioshock fan boy I very much did play bioshock for the combat that's what made me keep playing story for me is always second atomic heart took bioshocks gameplay and added a few spins on it. I feel like on most games the gameplay is what u make of it that's where the expression of the player comes in. I do believe the game fell short in some aspects but not all 😅 it doesn't suck tho that's being unreasonable

Ya I def agree with most of this. What turned me toward the game was it was a fps that wasn't call of duty. They are so far and few in between I feel like I'll settle for some garbage like this tbh. But it is bad. Main character bad. Does a horrible job at telling any kind of story. I don't read subscripts in games so once I see that it basically revolves around them like this game I just skip them cause most of it is useless info and I don't play video games to read tbh. And speaking of subscripts wtf is up with turning subtitles off and there are still subtitles that appear. Garbage. Then Idk I'm roughly prob ten or so hours through and it is totally shallow in the enemy department. So far 4 different enemies and idk a sub boss maybe two. And with that the fact the enemies rarely stay dead I like to explore a bit and this game makes that next to impossible in a lot of areas. That along with a totally shitty weapon upgrade system. What happened to the good old fashioned standard upgrade of overall damage, reload time, recoil etc. Then most all weapons take all the same ingredients every step of the way so seems like u r just upgrading one slight upgrade in one weapon at a time. Boring. Overall I'm still playing just because it is a fps and don't have to many anymore that along with I really don't like to waste money and return rate on games is awful this day in age. Fortunately got in on sale for x mss for $25 so I don't feel to ripped off lol.

I don't know, I frankly enjoyed the game however it did disappointed few friends who were more interested in immersive sim and to me it seems most negative reviews were expecting the same as it was dubbed the "Russian Bioshock". In my opinion, It is perfect description of the game as in the iconography. From Bioshock being an America reflection of 1950s while Atomic heart is the Russian reflection of 1950s during the Soviet Union era but would I recommend it to Bioshock fans for the immersive sim? No, I would recommend it on sale or game pass if you're into games that are linear first person story driven games. Hopefully most negative reviews aren't made by people who never played the game but viewed it as pro-Russian propaganda with Russia invasion of Ukraine considering the controversy. After all that, for me Gameplay is average, open world feels empty/restrictive, they could've added a large juggernaut bot variant that isn't a boss and lastly, I whole heartedly agree with the ENG dialogue cos Jesus Christ the MC just makes me cringe especially with his Scooby Doo phrase constantly saying "Crispy critters" despite the interesting audio log I found on why he always says them. Also would like to mention for those infuriated with the ENG dialogue, I recommend RUS dialogue if you're used to reading subtitles on Anime or played games that sticks with only one language like Yakuza instead of ENG dialogue because the MC to me has more emotion and sounds more natural...though I don't know jackshit on Russian at least MC doesn't make me cringe every time he speaks. For those who understands Russian or just curious: From a perspective from a friend who does understand RUS Dialogue, "He talks like a Russian foot soldier with the swearing and it's quite enriching. Though there are some flaws, several characters were voiced poorly, like the grandma sounding like she's in her mid 30s, Nechaev mumbling and quiet speech, sometimes you cannot understand him without subtitles But almost all secondary characters were excellently voiced. also there is too much with obscene expressions, for me personally I don't mind, it's just that sometimes it sounds out of place. Even though I've been seeing many other Russians disliking the dialogue alongside its flaws I prefer still prefer RUS over ENG but I'm pretty sure I'm just biased since I've been living in the US for a considerable amount". Last mention, for a company having this as their first title it is quite impressive with its graphics and animations specifically the Twins and the Music slaps

People have gotten so used to the nonsense that comes out these days that when a basic single player video game releases without the microtrashactions and the live service clutter it is deemed rubbish. Man I remember playing the oldskool games where the graphics were what they were and the gameplay was overall pretty basic back on the ps1 and 2 but it was a real game and it didn't require us to spend thousands of pounds on a battle pass, we just got the full game overall. Nobody in the game even hinted at exploring the open world. I didn't catch on until AFTER VDNH that there were Polygon Facilities I was supposed to be exploring for new loot. After that, each facility became annoying puzzles that just SUCK in video games. Bro NOBODY wants to play puzzle quests in Triple A video games. LMAO Haven't they figured this crap out yet? I played it for free with gamepass, but i actually kinda liked it. I found the game to be quite fun at stages and the story to be just fine it was a interesting plot with some cool visuals a but to much sexual narrative from nora etc but enjoyable nonetheless. But yeah the movement is a big problem and the "open world" is very restrictive and repetetive, it feels very empty even tho there is quite alot packed to the map, it's just that eveey building looks the same inside, every elevator had the exact same interior and button (5 and 34) no place feels new ever and the cooler larger robots are just there for the story one time and then you never meet any like it again. Overall i enjoyed the experience of just focusing on the story and seeing it as a linear game ignoring the "open world" every weapon was fine wothout the polygon upgrades and the story was fun, the dialog from P3 was a bit oof at times but the antagonist and the people around was convincing and played the role just right 🤷‍♂️ i understand the critisism as we should be able to expect more in this day and age especially considering the actual price for the game, but if you have gamepass just give it a go

I got this game on a whim for my birthday. Not even 8 hours ago. We were looking at games and I just chose one cause I saw the trailers and thought it looked alright. All I'm saying is, good thing I wasn't actually excited for this thing. At one point, I think the halfway point in the mandatory multi-hour canister collecathon, I thought to myself: "Isn't this just Bioshock but with zero game feel, impact, soul, story, immersion, passion, character, style, impact, finesse, charisma, or anything at all? Yeah. It is. It is just Bioshock but worse in every regard. I remember when I got up to the "Open World" out of that hell thinking "Time to bust some bots to some slapping Remixes!" And got a mandatory stealth section. Except you didn't even need to stealth anywhere, you could and absolutely can just run through it all to your jext objective with zero consequence. So I get to the weird ass quirky granny, she gives me an objective 300 meters down the boring ass road, I get to the train, it tells me to talk to dead people and ask for their cards instead of just frisking their corpses down. Nope, the corpses have to have personalities, too! Bad ones, at that! I finally get the stupid ticket, I get to the robot, he tells me it's expired. I feel like shooting the game with an actual shotgun. I go back to the corpses, I get a monthly ticket that JUST SO HAPPENED TO BE LYING ON HIM, LIKE OF COURSE. This game plays like a damn comedy, and you're the butt of every joke. You continuing to play the game is the punchline. I get on the stupid train finally, a mini cutscene plays of the train crashing, this german fuck comes out of nowhere, says like 2 lines of dialogue in a tone like we weren't just nearly murdered and fucks off out of existence in front of me. I am appalled. I jump off the platform, thinking "Okay finally, I have like 40 shotshells, time to bust some bots to some jumping remixed Soviet Era music!" And lose all 40 of my shots to infinitely spawning sawblade bots and flying bots that never stop spawning. Bereft of emotion, I go to the marker to get out of this mess, only to see that OF COURSE THE GATE IS CLOSED, YOU HAVE TO DO A PUZZLE TO OPEN IT, HOW TO THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD NOT DIE OF OLD AGE BEFORE THEY CAN TURN ON THEIR FUCKING MICROWAVE I get to the fucking marker at this shack near a knee-deep lake because this is an indie game, watch the sawblades of the robots that're behind me sail in a straight line and no gravity into the fucking sun, get another objective to go up the tower nearby to turn off the Hawk because that wasn't explained at all. I go up it, see the hack thing, open it up, see no indicator on how exactly to turn off the Hawk or whatever it is, and close the fucking game. NOTHING. IS EXPLAINED IN THIS GAME. FUCK THIS GAME.

Ikr! Honestly, people like this guy just use a bunch of buzz phrases like "the gameplay is clunky and basic" and other stuff, without ever elaborating further. Now Atomic Heart isn't perfect by any means, the dialogue is cringe and the story isn't perfect, but I really feel like the gameplay is underrated. To this day, I still don't get what ppl have against this game's gameplay? The only issue I have with it is that it's a bit too easy (telekinesis is op).

I personally liked it, it had its frustrating moments, but i liked the gameplay a lot. Of course there were a lot of enemies and bad dialogue in english, and generic story, but other than that, i quite liked it. And to be honest, its pretty impressive for a first game.

Honestly i loved the game. I believe it's more like a parody sometimes with the dialoge. Also, you have to take into consideration this is 1955, where cursing and talking wasn't modern as we speak. But I love the gunplay, the physics, and the upgrade and material model. I get it's slow in the beginning but with hopes, since in fact this is the FIRST GAME THEY MADE, that they will make a sequel with more improvements on what's needed most.

Stange. Game becomes better for me as I go further. Better then Bioshock. Thing that you felt getting forced to exposition at the start of the game means it is certainly not for you. It is it's main feature. This game has just awesome visual design and aesthetics overall. You SHOULD have been care about it.

So I paid 70 Bucks for this game about two days ago and no lifed it. And unless you play it you don’t understand just how true everything he says is! The dialogue is terrible. Characters talk over each other quite a lot. And the combat gets old after the first few kills. You get no choice in your actions. It’s like it tries SO SO SO hard to be fallout 4, without being fallout 4. If they would’ve done a fallout 4, but it was the ussr and crazier guns, that would’ve been awesome. There’s also this really weird part probably 60% of the way through where it just tries to be doom really really hard. I actually found those sections pretty fun but you don’t Regen ammo so it’s a constant worry that feels more annoying than something to overcome. Like it plays heavy rock music and spawns a ton of enemies, and it does it about three times and really close together and then never again. The main character development is also just hot trash. But I’m tired of typing now. 3/10
