Loved Twenty Eight Days Later, became bored with the sequel, but will definitely give the third one a go, if nothing else than for that great trailer! Stories such as the Chronicles of Narnia are timeless, the point being that the spirit should remain unchanged, so as to introduce their beauty and originality to new audiences; talk about starting off on the wrong foot! I agree entirely about the current era of Doctor Who, in relation to it being helmed by the current version of RTD, and the intelligence-insulting, condescending nonsense with regard to ratings. I did, however, very much like the offering by Moffat, and do like the look of the upcoming Christmas special. No saving the current era, though. For me, Blazing Saddles has never diminished, and I'll have to get it watched over Christmas. Just as you say, the film mocks racism itself, yet that conclusion seems ever-elusive to a tiny-minded minority responsible for judgement and revisionism; would that you were only joking about being 'carted off' for owning it! That Godzilla Minus One set actually seems worth the sixty seven pounds. Great film and, extending on your sentiments, I found the monster aspect to be almost incidental. Sorry about your bad experience with the merchandise company, as things like that can be a real test of resolve for collectors; it doesn't seem to have put you off from getting some other great stuff, however. I didn't mind Cross, yet felt it tried to be too clever, what with a plethora of contrived twists and turns, making things more tedious and drawn out than anything; I'll probably watch a second season, however. I very much enjoyed a British spy thriller on Netflix called Black Doves, with Keira Knightly, Ben Wishaw, and Sarah Lancashire. Whilst not being quite as good as either, it had the quirkiness of The Gentlemen, together with overtones of Slow Horses, and I'd be interested in what you think. Hi Paul, great to hear from you as ever! It's so rare these days that I watch a trailer and i'm generally excited for the film, I just hope 28 years later delivers. RIP Dr Who, I will probably get round to watching the special but defo not on Christmas day....... Funny you should mention Black Doves I finished it today, so review incoming! Take care A
