I’ve been saying this since the map dropped. It definitely feels like leftover models from PvE, the way the hero passives from the sombra event were MOST DEFINITELY passives from PvE.

Anubis being a hero could be a possibility. He can be a summoner type of character since he is responsible for causing the omnic crisis

it can be possible to be a hint of any future heroe. Ow team is teasing future heroes on the maps from Illari and Mauga (on antartic peninsula and samoa) and juno was teased on route 66, hollywood and dorado on the sky on the first half of season 11 and after her ship landed on Dorado on the second half. Looking that robot with the words "for sale" maybe can mean that on some point it will desapear from the map because someone bought him, so let's look at that on the future to see if something happens.

My favorite interaction is Ramattra and Pharah, where he tells her that they should have destroyed Anubis, and she's like "I... did not expect you to say that..." -- It really highlights Ramattra's beliefs, specifically that he doesn't want to take over the world, but ultimately he just wants freedom for omnics. Anubis was not going to free them.

You do realize there was no one for Anubis to free at the time…right? They were all just robots following Anubis’ program before Aurora granted them all sentience. Some Omnics at that time chose to stop fighting, while others kept going. However at that point none of those Omnics were under Anubis’ control, only mindless robots being directly controlled by it. And in Ramattra’s case, actions speak louder than words.

@ 20:59 There is a large head presumably from a destroyed statue in the sand. It really looks like the Raindancer/Thunderbird Skin for Pharah, blown up, slightly modified, and the texture changed to create a repurposed asset.

if that is the season 14 tank, then the "for sale" may be a clue as to it's personality, it could be a mercenary, also i think they may have teased the tank in the streamer mode names as theres one i havent seen before that says "half hero". overwatch wanted to make a split personality hero when making mauga, but turned it into sigma. i could be wrong on that though. this omnic build is very similar to the design of a cut hero called "rumble" who has a head lower down on it;s body, rumble was yellow as well

Thank you for always doing a deepdive into these maps. That's what I really miss these days.. these OW maps are so good and beautiful and definitely deserve more appreciation, especially the OW2 maps, these are just a different level. Sadly people don't really show or take deepdives of these maps anymore :( I also would like to see a vid of the environmental sounds of all the maps, but oh well. One can always dream :)

I may be wrong, but I'm guessing the new hero will be "Soundquacke," a tank that appeared on the ID cards in Winston's cinematic trailer, and also appears in a photo with several Overwatch heroes. I'm relating this to the flags on the ship floating outside the map, which have the same colors and a similar pattern to the aforementioned design.

Make him a support with less focus on healing, instead being able to "hire" one of the special Talon troopers from Retribution or Storm Rising that do different things. Assassin can ambush and stun people, before throwing them away, enforcer can guard you and maybe have a small passive AOE heal, and sniper can stay in one spot and shoot like a mix between Widow and a Torb Turret. For his healing you need to first shoot enemies, that fills up a "cash" meter that you can then pay your teammates or Talon minions to heal them like Brig's packs, perhaps have less healing and range but be unique among the supports by not requiring line of sight.

@@tau-5794Characters that can “summon” essentially another player on the team are always going to cause issues. Torb’s turrent had to be nerfed and even then it’s a hassle to have to focus your attention to kill a turrent, but again it’s not that horrible because it has to be in your los for it to do damage. And Illiari’s pylon is even worse because it does not need to be in the enemies’ line of sight to work, and it can be impossible to shoot down in some maps. Having a character that can summon not just another player, but one that can do multiple things like you explained just sounds horrible, especially as a support. It will just create more for the opposite team to clean up.

I didn’t know Anubis was made to solve climate change issues, where is that mentioned in the lore? Also is it stated why they don’t just deactivate it? Since it’s obviously caused thousands of deaths and destruction?

Trying to deactivate or disable Anubis would cause it to spread. He was rather contained in that huge cask, and is off the Internet and everything eletronic. Also they launched some story chapters last year i believe, on how the Omnic Crisis happened, what Anubis was, and what caused it to stop. I won't spoil it, but go to Overwatch Official KZbin and search it up! PS: I wonder why they don't evolve the story more. Overwatch is a really good universe, with lots of different stories they could simply expand.

@@krutido96 could they technically not just Nuke him tho? Or destroy the device he’s contained in? If they’re for sure all of his programming is there that should be an option. Similar to Ultron in the MCU. It seems like the only other reason they haven’t is for moral implications (which don’t really hold up ), or they believe there is still use for the God Program.
