"Look at those dorks on Segways!" thought the guy watching an FPV video. lol. That was a great flight!

lol, I think you should find someone's gopro footage riding a Segway next...

Beautiful first flight! I've always used ArduPilot because I often see INAV struggling with autolaunches like this. It looks like you had enough power to manage a successful takeoff.

@@1Esteband this is only the second failed autolaunch I've had in four years so not bad statistically.

Wow!! I've got to visit there one day! Crackin" flight mate and as usual an impressive landing. I would have bunged it in the sea or tree for sure!! Having never been a fan of goggles , I'd be afraid that when I removed them after the flight that I'd be surrounded by the local Karens -eek!! Big balls Zak :)

@@nicktwinn6760 people seem pretty chilled. A few small groups walking past commented I must be flying a drone, and the younger ones explained to the older ones what the goggles were for. 🙂

A great flight, you picked the right day I think, a pity about the second flight, that's the way it goes sometimes 😞

First splashdown I've ever had, flying FPV over water since I started... 13 years?
@GoodnessMee18 күн бұрын
@@ZaksterBlue It is indeed an acceptable risk, I've had one go into the drink, an Eagletree Vector failure possibly, fortunately Jase was following and got a decent video 🙂

Thanks. Yeah, only a few days into our trip so that sucked!

Bad luck with the second flight. 😥

I hesitated about the crosswind launch, then did it anyway - with a bad throw to boot... lesson learned!

What sort of speed can you get out of a Dolphin?
@ZaksterBlue18 күн бұрын
My setup with a fresh 4S LIPO can probably do 150 kph. My thin wire gauge between components will limit current. Others have gone with bigger, faster motor/prop combos and 6S for way more speed.
