What a magnificent place to fly! I always thought "lower lower" then @9:00 you went down. that river section has a lot of potential! awesome!

Thanks Stuwe! I fly lower when picking my own path. You would have fun plotting out some downhill and low runs around here!

Great job Zac! Tricky approach especially with the extra weight and the battery alarm screaming as you came close! You have that Dolphin tuned so nicely and the shots are just ultra smooth and fun to kick back and watch. Also gives me a benchmark to hopefully get mine flying equally smooth. Thanks for posting!

The GoPro hypersmooth does wonders! For me, dropping INAV Roll P=3 got rid of roll jitters, while a good dose of Roll I-term=14 keeps it in line, then Roll D-term=12 to smooth things out.

DVR with OSD in a corner would’ve been awesome

Unfortunately the DJI FPV V1 doesn't support recording the OSD
@ForSure87110 ай бұрын
@@ZaksterBlueah yes, i heard that DJI was tricky to deal with OSD.
@smithe689 ай бұрын
@@ZaksterBlueit’s been awhile but the v1s used to record it as a separate file and if you had the right editing software you could sync them up, does this not work anymore?
@ZaksterBlue9 ай бұрын
@@smithe68 I can embed the subtitle file with the DVR recording as they are synced, but doing this with the GoPro footage doesn't align as well.
@smithe689 ай бұрын
@@ZaksterBlue I was thinking you could sync up the DVR footage with the subtitles and make that a small picture in picture with the GoPro footage being the primary focus. Hopefully that makes sense?

So I gotta ask…. What in the heck is the range on this bad-boy???
@ZaksterBlue10 ай бұрын
A comfortable 30-40km total can be covered on the 4200mah ions at roughly 70kph cruising speed.

What’s the radio range on that plane?

It's on 2.4g ELRS set to only ramp up to 250mw if required, so maybe 20 km. I could bump max power up more but never need to.

Nice. How did you find the set up you were running. I'm considering ordering two tonight. One for 6s speed runs and another for just efficient cruising and long range. What's your efficiency and flight times like? Cheers. And greetings from the UK.

Even with the weight of the GoPro, my dolphin is happy to cruise at 5A, so the Molicel P42A 21700 4200mah 4S (298gm) that I normally use are good for 40 mins if I take it easy. I often fly in tricky places to land so heavier batteries are not ideal, but the plane handles them fine. Next time I want a new battery pack I might try to get the new Molicel P45B. Using 2507-1750kv and hqprop 7045 two blade.

@@ForSure871 fresh ion 4s around 145kph, or 40 minutes cruising at around 4.5A/65kph. I routinely cover 40km during a flight. Your kv is quite low for a small fast plane. You may want to try 8x4.5 as well.
