It took me about 4 hours to download this and watch from eastern afghanistan. Then on the plane to Germany from Kuwait City, the Lufthansa had the entire album and it was amazing. The line "Look out your window, what do you see?" I looked out and I saw hundreds of oil refineries the flames burning at night...from the point I knew I was supposed to be right there exactly where I was at that particular moment in time.

Atoms For Peace were schedule to play ACL in Austin on my birthday, I didn't have tickets, but a torrential downpour flooded the grounds and the band put on a show in the Moody Theatre and I showed security my drivers license showing it was my birthday and showed my Radiohead tattoo and was like c'mon bro please let me in. He looked left and right, just nodded towards the door and said hurry up. I got to watch Flea play bass too. Epic show

FLEA, NIGEL, (Brazilian drummer) ... !!! After seeing ATOMS FOR PEACE live, Yorke has overly convinced me of his ability to collaborate on multiple levels as an Artist that reach beyond convincing articulation for years to come. What I mean by that is, to say, his Body of Work will go down in history as a complex Composer, Artist, Writer, etc. who is underappreciated by the "masses" in contemporary culture.

@Ominous892 жыл бұрын
Tears of awe. The tears that you produce when you see or hear something so good, so beautifull, or even the opposite, so awfull. I have it a lot with music. It could even come with something that you've achieved. Being impressed with your own work. Or seeing the love of your life, realising you want nothing else than becoming old with him or her. All tears of awe, and tears of joy.

The arts and sciences are about observation and understanding. Yet some don't understand anything but command and coercion. It's more than a little disturbing that the majority of people take little more away from this than "it's a picture of a city blowing up, I guess he's telling me to go destroy a city". There is more than what you're told to do.

I love them both, my thoughts are why do they need to be compared with each other, just enjoy them for what they are. Not even the same band.
@heyassmanx9 жыл бұрын
Aw man I knew there was gonna be a "why do they need to be compared" person. How trite. They need to be compared because they're both works from Thom Yorke and IMHO if i need to explain why one compares an artist's various works to one another then your opinion on the matter doesn't really matter in the first place
@lardosian9 жыл бұрын
heyassmanx Didn't mean any offense. I'll go again! Personally I get lost in the beautiful haunting atmospherics of both, Amok is definatly a bit more in your face, this track is maybe my favorite from the album, the beautiful deep bass with the vocal reverb just builds and builds. Ingenue is fantastic as well. Codecs from The King of Limbs is sublime as are many others. Thom Yorke is a musical genius in my opinion, love everything he does.
