That was very odd especially how coveted corners are at his size. I felt for a while that the NFL does things to help certain teams be successful. They know the Steelers have more fans than other teams and want to make sure they are competitive. I live in Charleston SC and the Steelers are probably the most televised team besides the Panthers in my area.

​@@milehighboost5521Tyrique Stevenson gave up 500 yards passing last year and an additional 350 yards in YAC. He also allowed a 60% completion percentage. Joey Porter JR gave up 300 yards in coverage and only a 47% completion percentage. Looking at general stats would suggest that Tyrique Stevenson is better than Patrick Surtain. That's why you cannot rely upon stat sheets at all.

That’s not true though. He only had 1 int and 10 passes defended. Tyrique Stevenson who went later in that round and played 1 less game had 4 ints and 16 passes defended.

I thought JPJ was being thrown into a literal bon fire last year with covering all the #1 receivers. And he did get beat a couple times. However. I'm glad he got thrown into the bon fire because JPJ is gonna lockdown his receivers this year. JPJ and Cory Trice are gonna be great players for the Steelers.

I genuinely think that JPJ is an all-pro talent. He's like Darelle Revis in a sense where no qb wants to throw in his direction. People always want to talk about how he gets penalized, but if you look at most flags on him, he was simply matching the handiness of the receiver trying to get away from him. Plus, he's doing this against wr1's, which is why he ranks lower than others because usually cb2's like Wallace and Emerson are not facing as good of a reciever.
