Every aspect of the game of the big three is at minimum top 10. They’ve all got some of the best bet skills in the game, they all get more free points of their serve than almost anyone else, they’ve all got backhands and forehands which win them points out of nowhere. I think to be as dominant as they have been they really had to have close to the best version of every type of shot and we’re lucky to see players like that appear

@jocriss Mate we're in a different era of tennis!! As good as Federer is at the net, even he doesn't volley that often!! Federer's interview at Australian Open this year picking the "perfect player" For the best volley, Federer has chosen Rafael Nadal: “I think Rafa’s up there”. The Spaniard improved a lot his net game as he showed at this month's Australian Open winning six straight-set matches through an aggressive gamestyle. I personally don't think Rafa have the best volley... but he's got a good volley, consider he plays a baseline style game.

Let's make it clear once and for all, it's mostly Nadal's forehand that gained him non less than 17 slams!! Yes, with no exceptional serve like Fed or Karlović, and not the most consistent backhand like Nole, and i'm not talking about other parts of the game like his intelligent net game, speed, extreme court coverage, tactical adapting abilities etc. Dont get me wrong, those qualities are almost as equal but groundstroking wise only, his forehand proved to be the most reliable and consistent shot throughout the years. although at best, Federer's forehand is the most lethal one (I'd still take Rafa's though)
@diegoartazcoz2390

Making a best of Rafa I would say: Forehand: 2013 Summer swing (best level of hard court tennis from Rafa) or 2017-18 Backhand: 2017-18 (imo the most underrated shot of Rafa. He is probably top 5 of the world) Serve: Definitely USO 2010 and maybe 2019? We will see Movement: 2008 - 2010 Touch: Now as he improved through the years. He is probably the second best in the tour in this aspect after Roger. Super effective in the net. Fighting spirit: Always but if I take one moment of his career definitely 2009 AO with 2 5 setters to win the title. The best part of Rafa is that he keeps getting better every year, improving some aspects of his game. From his beginning to now might be the memeber of the Big 4 that most improved in all his career, as he probably had the worst shots apart from his forehand which might be the best if he is hitting it well.

Problem with Rafa's forehand is it's also his weakness. A good backhand like Novak or 2017 Federer exploits it.
