I think at 6:08, it is wrong that the acetal part would also undergo a reaction. I feel because the acetal is used as a protecting group to avoid reduction or oxidation . Sir please clarify 🙏

Sir actually the mechasim is wrong. This rxn only reduces aldehyde and ketone. As alcohol is also formed in the middle of the mechanism, so rxn wont proceed.

Sir I think the mechanism you are teaching for clemmensen reduction is wrong you are teaching nakabayasaki mechanism in which alcohol gets converted into alkane but this mechanism was discarded in 2003 Now the latest mechanism is carbenoid mechanism If I am wrong then sir please reply
