well just so you know, this video is very old. that runway was resurfaced a few years ago and LPIA as its now call is currently undergoing a 400+ million dollar renovation to its terminal buildings. when completed, the airport will be among the best in the caribbean region.

Well...Turbo Props are still the most economic planes around...they mostly glide to their destination, when reached a cursing alt. They should make bigger ones. Woha...that RWY looks like it is 200 years old...but it takes the trusty ATR42 just a grin off and it landed safely. Very nice work from the flight crew and the plane! But seriously...that RWY needs a complete restoration, badly!!! Just sad they never figured out how to make the ATRs deicing system work, so it can fly in colder areas.
