Recently took a trip to NYC, as I received a text from this girl in which ig you could say we were dating saying "I'm going to cancel our plans" and me replying "okay hope you feel better". To never speak again. Then tuning into this song as I'm in Battery Park is something I'll never forget. Just hearing "Can I kick it, yes you can" as I am exploring NYC alone, felt as if I was in a movie. I'll never forget the memory of comfort I felt in that moment. The beat represented exactly the mood I was feeling, the lyrics gave me sense of realization that I'm going to make my own fun. No matter who is with me or not.

People who say a tribe called a quest is underrated is wrong. Yes, to our generation, it's probably not as popular as it should be, but almost all of your favorite MCs and rappers know and have taken notes from these guys. They've also got platinum twice (three times soon probably), and are some of the most celebrated and respect New York rap bands. They've certainly got their flowers, and to call them underrated would be an insult to the impact they've made.
