Make your life easier and go on the offensive against problematic weeds like waterhemp with a powerful, crop-safe, and multiple MOA residual like Tendovo by Syngenta. The easiest weeds to control are the ones that you never see. Find out more here: gofyi.ly/048CD11F Thanks For Watching!

Andy, since we no-til our beans we spray after planting. We have row cleaners that disturb the soil slightly, we do not have coulters.

I doubt that I can get the no-till coulters off of the planters while dad is still alive. He swears by those things. The row cleaners would be a great compliment for no-tilling.

Don’t feel bad about smoking the power pole we all do it ! I smoked a power pole with a 60 ft field cultivator and knocked it over and had a few sparks flying for a breif second and bent a harrow bar. Expensive learning experience

Never had to deal with hemp, but 3-4 decades ago, walked fair share of pinto and great northern bean fields, hoeing volunteer corn out. Another gem Andy, y’all take care and keep em comin.

I am 68 years old and back in the day I pulled weed by hand in cotton patch back in the 1967.

Andy, a wide LED bar mounted on cab roof will help lighting up the night. Be sure to silicone the edge of ther lenses, as water can and will infiltrate and fog lense. Looks like a 5' light would do well for you !

I sprayed pre and burndown a week before planting. Works great. Just vt in fall. Make sure ground is dry on top for best results

I’ve had Palmer amaranth grow 3” a day. Enlist alone didn’t kill it this year. 1qt of enlist and 1qt of liberty smoked it though. It’s an expensive program but it beats having to go back out and spray again and run over more beans

I've talked to a few farmers that didn't even get a full kill this year with 1qt liberty and enlist at 20gpa. I don't understand how that is even possible. I am glad that we don't have palmer yet, but I sure it is on its way.

I walked a lot of bean fields in the 1980s in Central Illinois. Do any farmers still hire kids to walk beans ?

when i worked ground for the farm i worked i all ways was scared to not work ground to shallow for fear of not getting good kill on the water hemp it sometime bit me in the butt and still did not work but i tried any way

Working ground when it is wet is a dangerous game. You can't go too deep but you can't go too shallow. It takes a good operator!

Water Hemp may need a pre-emergence in the ground to kill the seeds.

Row cultivating that soybean to get the water hemp out? It wouldn't get all of it, but there would be way less to pull out.
