Ha that was weird to see that Combine Harvester just stopped in the road like that, maybe one of yours you forgot about from Zilla Farms 😂Nice haul and wonderful DLC. I think on a closer look it was actually moving, but very very slowly. But yeah, that was kind of fun. I wonder if my Farming Simulator alter ego is trying to tell me something. "Get back and farm your lands!"

Thanks! I just held the turn a fraction too long. If I had pulled out of it a second or two earlier I could have nailed it in one shot. I always find that hard to judge. #morepractice

I appreciate your shout-out to small towns. My town was est. in 1718 and has < 11K people. It's not uncommon to bump into and have breakfast with my State Representative at the local coffee shop on the way in to work, to talk about what's going on in the town and the State.

I spent summers growing up in a small town and really enjoyed the pace and closeness of it all. Haven't really done that since, but it'd be fun to do so again.

I love that they added some new cargo and even new companies just for Arkansas. The dynamic log loading is also so much fun to watch. Probably the best feature they’ve ever released.

I've heard there are lots of hidden roads in Arkansas. It'd be fun to try to find them all, but that'd be a bit of work. Up to five perfect deliveries, though, not sure what's going on. Dare we dream to get ten in a row?

The 'Welcome to more escapades' starts to get its shine more. I also found a hidden road in Linkoping just cruising around and taking a right through roundabout, and it was not blocked off! Did not expect that.

There really are so many more hidden roads in these new DLCs, at least it seems that way. Fun times! :)

@ZillaBlitzPC i mean, it was in Europe, so that could come in handy if traveling through Sweden for you in ets 2. In Ats I guess the more hidden roads that appear is based on the possibly larger area to be driven through and explore, it's like Great wide open flat space there that really is hard for a road to appear not be driveable

Oh, right, yes, Linkoping just flew by my radar! The hidden roads thing is way more fun for me than it should be. I think I'm just easily entertained. :)

@ZillaBlitzPC Actually, I thought you were cruising Norway now in promods, and Linkoping is in Sweden, i guess? I don't know, I barely know where it is, let alone how it spells. I just came across that.

So far, I’ve discovered at least ten hidden road networks. (might be twelve; zooming the map makes hard to tell if I’ve missed some)

The closer you get to Missouri you get to the lesser known mountain range called the Ozarks. There is a great movie based on a book from this region. It is called Where the Red Fir Grows. It’s a traudity( does include a death scene. However it isn’t people) watch it.

I'm mixed on Arkansas, while it does have the general feel of the state, so much is not where it should be or not there at all. One of the big disappointments for me was them leaving out highway 7 which is used by truckers but also one of the most beautiful challenging drives... have no clue why they left it out. I guess I'm hoping a modder will bring a fix. Btw didn't get past downtown to pass my house due to no Hwy 7...lol and they put a big industry on a road that IRL is a side road that goes no where but a tourist attraction and no big truck is getting down there. However if you find and take that road in downtown Hot Springs... keep going for one of your favorite kinds of surprises...😎

I feel like it's been a pretty consistent thing for people to not like their home states because of many of the reasons you mention, stuff left out, etc. I feel like it's inevitable when they only are including less than 10% of the state's area. I'm curious to see what I think when they finally get to Minnesota. :)

@@ZillaBlitzPC I think the state itself is fine, but when I'm in my town and headed in a familiar area and then things are in the wrong place, roads go to the wrong things... I think it's different when you drive those streets everyday. As far as hwy 7 it's a historic drive and it's the most famous drive in Arkansas and one of the more famous drives in the US and it just seems weird to leave that out. Even if they had just done a short mountain drive in place of the whole thing I could have gotten over it, but I was really looking forward to seeing what they did with it... and they did nothing...sigh

@@ZillaBlitzPC At 1:20 scale the map only covers 0.25% of the state’s area. But I think they do a fantastic job of it.

How does the math work out on that, Hal? So 1:20 isn't 5% then. (I've not thought about this before, curious).

@@ZillaBlitzPC Think of a square; the length is 0.05 of full scale, the width is 0.05 of full scale. The area is length x width: 0.05 x 0.05 = 0.0025 = 0.25%

I would have done the second backup same way if no chance to do blind reverse around the corner. The first double backup was done even harder by the murican style trucks and trailers; the truck turns slow as it has long wheelbase, first trailer, the towbar of second trailer and the second trailer all turns very fast. So slow, fast, fast, fast. If you compare this to ETS2 HCT-trailers from Finland with european cabover truck, the order would be fast, slow, fast, slow. With smaller truck and longer trailers, backing the double would be much easier.

Good to know on the backup, that was just so oddly positioned. I think in retrospect it might have been easier to do it blind, yes.

Well, I mean, the sign was: "LOCAL Trucks ONLY" (emphasis added) and you just ignore that to claim a 'hidden' road. ;-p (If I were the Police, you'd have been busted and lost the perfect run. lol) And I mean, it was already suspect in that you are claiming you are carrying Coca Cola, but in a 3M trailer??? Maybe it was some sort of mechanical parts you were delivering TO the Coca Cola factory? OK, on the delivery it said Cans delivered; presumably empty, and maybe even barrel sized cans to be filled with syrup or something.

Yeah, I bet the cans thing makes sense. It definitely did make me wonder why we were taking a load of soda from 3M, but sometimes it's better not to ask too many questions when picking up loads in this game. ;) Not sure what you are talking about with the signs. Those are for people who can read, so yeah, I've no idea how to reply. :)
