The SI4732 is about £1.20;per unit.. I can't buy them cheaper even in volume (100) but I imagine bulk in China they can obtain them for about 20 to 40p each?

Yes but they are a buisness and ship world wide also have to assemble and package.

Have you tried the step 500 that appears immediately above 1 in the step menu? I feel that there's a chance that means 500 Hz, rather than 500 kHz, and the 250 above that 250 Hz, and are there more above the 250? If so, that will be more pleasant for SSB and CW. 73 - KE1G

Thanks for showing your radios, but you need to rehearse your video presentation to decide what stations and features to demonstrate before recording. Make sure you can receive stations, so that you can demonstrate what the radios are capable of. Listening to noise is not a demonstration and can be frustrating for people to watch and listen to.
