Here in Romania, we have bits of old rail abandoned by the rail workers when they changed it. People took pieces of them and used them as anvils. Turns out great.

rather sluggish, and would put a lot of stress on the gearbox and clutch but on the positive side it wouldn"t be easy to kill when driving off, and keep up momentum quite well

Awesome video guys! Just a tip tough if you want to weld steel to the flywheel its best to heat up the flywheel first with a gasburner then weld when hot it will be much stronger

old style lethal wood chopping machines had a huge cone drill bit that split the wood,1000-6000 rpm lada engine would eat those wood bits good if welded at the fly wheel. lethalness would be high but the russian factor would outweigh it I suppose xD

You are correct! The mig welder they are using MIGHT be good for up to 3/8" material...They need to step it up with a stick unit and some quality rods and have an experienced welder burn that baby in... Goodbye crankshaft!

Awesome, what this actually shows it no matter how crap people think lada is they are very resilient machines. Do you think you could do this with a modern engine without throwing a rod or worse quicker, if the piece of rail hadn't come off would of gone for way longer as the starter look like it did the damage.
