You sir, are a very clever man! Love this mod and just bought a pouch for this exact purpose. I currently have this knife in my car as a get home utility but it always annoyed me that I cannot ad a small fire kit and sharpener to the sheath itself. Yes I could put it all in one bag but having it handy on the knife itself is always nice as a backup! Thank you!

Nice video and good, no-nonsense walk around. I have a similar Gerber and that Condor MA32 pouch. I agree on the downsides. Too much flap, too much space not being inside the pouch. I will go for a shorter but wider pouch with way less flap closure, probably using a different locking style of the flap. The pistol mag pouch fits poorly on some sheath profiles, especially so if you have an integrated knife sharperer in the sheath and you do not whant to cover that sharperner with your pouch. Yes, the flap itself can be cut, but then you really MUST add a closing mechanism yourself as you removed the existing one. even if having a very short flap, there will be some open space as the flap start a bit heigh on the pouch. Having a long narrow pouch on some sheaths makes the pouch get an angle out, something I think makes it less secure to the sheath.

Wished you showed you put your zip tag in the pouch & sheath...now I'm wanting to do that

Begin by threading the tie's tail through the sheath's top lashing hole from the back. Pass the tie down through the pouch's webbing, then up through the sheath's bottom hole. Finally, align sheath and pouch, guide the tie's tail into its head and pull. Pulling should align pieces naturally but best to leave some slack before final tightening to optimize head position.

Actually another youtuber also posted a video about the sheath with a Condor pouch and the one he showed was attached with velcro (which is a lot easier to attach). The ones he showed came with the Condor Tactical Belt TB-001 and TB-002 (depending on the color you prefer) which has 2 horizontal pistol magazine pouches. The pouches are detachable.

I tried that along with another pouch brand's Velcro strap setup but found it much less stable than using zip ties due to the straps not aligning well with the sheath's horizontal carry slots on the back. The straps also added bulk and tended to become undone.

@@Broken_Arrow58 I haven't tried it yet on my Gerber but it's good to know what you're saying, thanks! The other youtuber I found had a complete different approach and made a kydex adapter which is usable with the click system on the back of the sheath. His was very good, I must say.

🥰👍🇩🇪 Gruß an alle Messer-verliebte.😅

Danke für die Rückmeldung! Guter Punkt wollte aber den Nutzen des Rigs erhöhen. Die Beutel hält jetzt ein multi-funktionales Taschenmesser, einen Schärfer und einen Feuerstahl.

Cobra zip ties would be the way to go. I used them for scuba. Look them up.

Good idea. Low profile and barb falls into the head preventing snags.

Who in the world would rate the strongarm sheath highly!? Good knife but horrible sheath. Excellent idea for mounting pouch
