I live in Florida and would give anything for a driverless car. I'm legally blind so i'll never be able to drive and now that i'm turning 16 its hard to see all my friends getting their license and such.

For all the talk of "creating jobs" most politicians seem to have no idea where jobs come from. Jobs are created by innovations that produce whole new sectors of the economy and create new demand for system upgrades and better ways of doing things. Driverless cars would be an example of this. The technology is on the horizon and it can and will improve how we do things and ultimately spur economic activity and create jobs. THAT IS HOW JOBS ARE CREATED! IT'S NOT MAGIC, PEOPLE!

We need to make those using tactics such as this to seek public office, the pariahs of society. In business, in social settings so that everywhere they go and everything they do is tainted by the fact that they're willing to use fear to govern. The threat of violence isn't the only type of terrorism, fear mongering is absolutely a form of it and should be condemned with our strongest voice.

I agree with everyone else especially since recently where I'm from an elderly driver plowed through a publix full of people. So glad I don't live in Florida any more. Not that elderly drivers aren't a threat nation wide. I want another drivers test when you turn 50,60,70,80 and then you lose your license, unless you have a driverless car.

I am legally blind and I cannot drive. I long for the day these cars are made available to the public and I have the mobility that everyone else has. This issue alone will make me oppose any politician who is not supportive of driverless technology. However I'm not in Florida and have no say in this particular election. If you do, keep in mind the disabled who will have mobility before you blindly oppose this technology, out of luddite fear.

Of course, a political ad that's incorrect in its representation of reality. What else is new? 1: The cars in question are not remote-controlled 2: The cars in question have a human behind the wheel (to correct if the car makes a mistake) 3: The cars in question have been driving for years, for hundreds of thousands of miles, without a single mistake.

Oh fun, let's show the Google Self-Driving Car burning a stop and almost hitting an old lady, and then not-so-subtly implying that it will cause accidents with a car crash sound at the end. Of course, we won't say that in over 300,000km of driving itself, never *once* did it have even the slightest accident on the road. I highly doubt as much can be said of *any* other driver on the road. This is a PERFECT example of "disinformation" of the public.
