people who go on these driving safari's need information and it should be a requirement (for licensing approval) that a safari company must educate and hold themselves and their customers accountable for their interactions with these powerful and wild beasts...these game reserves are not there to amuse and titillate thrill seekers...they are there to defend the shrinking footprint of the living world and the web of life that makes our lives on the planet even remotely feasible.

Why do they continue to torment these poor animals. Then act shocked when someone gets hurt or killed by one. So they go kill an elephant. This needs to stop; Leave them in peace. You don't need to get so close and differently stop doing things to aggravate them. This is for all wild life we need to learn boundaries.

Damn poachers would have killed them off. Tourism money goes into conservation and preservation of wildlife parks to arm rangers with much needed fire power against poachers with their semi automatic rifles and I'm sure it can't be easy to fight battles against the enemy with old pieced together might work or not rifles when the poachers have machine guns!

Lol. This lady hunter had got her wish a massive was laying on her feet lots of photos takenetc Strange didnt see anyone show any one showing somekind of remorse for killling this unique animal for nothing. In places where you treat a common dog easily found anywhere in the world including the horribly abused & abandoned ones better then A rare & unique animal.one small wonder of the Universeyou obliterate for supeficial reason as well as disrespecting the animal representing Tanzania, a country you’ve just been visiting completely ignoring the countries National Park Regulations with the help of some corrupt guides i mmight add. Tanzania has these treats i worked in most of this places f to with a Band That had a contract to play music in lodges & Hotels. Ill start with the big one which has unfotunately succumed to Global warming to an extent. This is the Amazing 1)Mount Kilimanjaro ( highest mount in Africa) 2) We have part of the Rift Valley run thru our country 3) we have Olduvai Gorge for a nthropologists this is where Dr Leakey Said is where there first man came from! 4) if you look at the map of Africa Tanzania is the only country surrounded by three Lakes to NorthLake Victoria we share that with Uganda, which Idi Amin didnt like wanted it for Uganda but Tanzania soon let him know which belonged to Uganda. Lake Victoria is where the beggining of Nile! To the left of the indian Ocean is another huge Bordering lake to Tanzania used to be Lake Lake Tanganyika where Dr Stanley finally lound Explorer Livingstone Greeting him with the famous “Dr Livinstone i Presume! & proceeded to look atter the sick Livingstone. No the guide did right. You don't reward the elephant by his behavior at charging the vehicle by driving away, then he will do it to all vehicles and next time might just make contact and hurt people. They gave him his distance only after he backed off, so he wouldn't think he can do this to other safari vehicles. The tourists are what is helping save and preserve these animals. By revving up engine that is saying to elephant, hey, you back off, we aren't bothering you or coming closer, so you back off and your not going intimidate me. Elephant aggressive behavior that is allowed to go unchecked is not good for tourist if money don't come in because of aggressive elephant that wants charge and push around it's authority

They don't become "a little bit aggressive" during musth. They are apparently pretty miserable, including having bad headaches (some believe this is why they push their tusks into the ground - trying to ease the pain). As others have said, this guide was disgustingly disrespectful to the elephant and the people on the tour. I'm glad no one got hurt, especially the elephant.

Don’t blame the ellie! If 6 strangers pulled up on my driveway and started rev’ing their engine, they would get the same reaction from me. The ellie was very polite at first and these tools didn’t respect that its HIS property! Leave the ellies alone and stop trying to vilify these beautiful animals. We betray them every day, so don’t expect a warm reception when you show up and behave like that.

That was really scary, I don’t blame those folks for wanting to get as far away as possible from that bull in musth. I read about ellie musth after this and it’s a helluva thing. There seems to be two schools of thought as to why they press the base of their trucks on the ground like this one did. Some say it’s an aggressive act, mimicking spearing another bull or it’s because of the pain from the swelling of the gland between their eye and ear. A bull with 60x normal testosterone level and in pain is not an animal you want to be around, that’s for sure.
