Before the 1971 war, whenever there were riots or atrocities on people in East Pakistan (that is, Bangladesh of today), the people who suffered the most were Hindus. Hindu houses were burnt, women were raped, Hindu shops were destroyed and lakhs of Hindus were killed.
This was written by the then American MP Edward Carradi in his report.
Of course, many people of that time may not have known this, but in today's time all these things are like an open book.
After the 1971 war, it was being estimated that many Hindu brothers and sisters and people of all other religions present in Bangladesh will now be able to live a peaceful life there. Due to this, when Bangladesh became independent in 1971, the economic condition there was not very good, there was no food to eat, no clothes to wear, due to this the people there were facing a lot of problems and then during that time Prabhupada ji of ISKCON collected a fund of 2.5 million dollars for the people there and gave it to the people of Bangladesh so that they could breathe a sigh of relief.
And something similar happened under the government of Sheikh Hasina, there was peace there for many years and Bangladesh kept moving towards its progress.
But now again atrocities, riots and violence have awakened inside Bangladesh. The effect of which is clearly visible on the Hindus there.
