The final chapter part 2 didnt deserved to be that low. I mean, that scene where everybody turns into titan, annie’s screams out of desperation, pieck holding tears, reiner holding the creature while seeing connie, jean, gabi and his mother turns into titan was totally heart wrentching, and after that where armin’s collossal titan shots facing eren was a totally climatic scene! And finally we got final levi badass scene to icing the cake! This deserves to be at least 9.0 or higher i guess😢

@@UbisoftVaCrever Just somehow not as exciting for me, maybe because execution of the scenes wasn't as perfect as wit's. There are several scenes where fan animation did better job than mappa, for example declaration of war scene and eren's giant titan arriving to marley. The last episode's animation was decent but the titans were still cgi, I know mappa could do better than this, they know this as well, afterall their first trailer of season 4 part 1 had titans hand drawn. But then they did cgi everyone praised them for it, even though the difference between wit and mappa was very noticable, too noticable. That's why I am not a fan of praising someone for doing an average job just because it's too long to wait for a proper hand drawn animation etc.

it's so sad that the ending to this series has to be so contentious but maybe there is no other way, considering how popular it was, you just know that as soon as One Piece ends people are gonna have a civil war again. I think the episode is really good but the release timing that MAPPA had was just terrible, killed all the momentum and all the hype, I remember back when I was marathoning AOT and I just couldn't stop myself from watching, I HAD to know, meanwhile when the last episode came out I knew I wanted to see it but I wasn't in so much of a hurry, it has been an entire year since I last watched an episode.

There is way more to it behind this simple ( I'm an idiot with power) that's for the viewer to understand and interpret, Eren is the freest person in the world in a deterministic sense but in a metaphysical sense he’s a slave to his initial and most profound nature, back in season 1 he believed that we all had a right to take others freedom if it meant preserving our own, he indirectly believed that we should fight for freedom even at the cost of turning from a victim to a perpetrator which is shown in the episode where he kills the kidnappers and latter developed in season 4, ( he responded to the cruelty of this world with nothing but cruelty). It’s a stark contrast from Erwin’s ideology that was passed down to all the survivors of the survey corp directly or indirectly. As well as some interesting offshoots and other interesting ideologies of secondary characters (Erwin’s ideology needs a whole essay to touch on it) But in the story Eren ironically the person with the greatest power and thus the existence which « theoretically » should be the nearest from freedom is the slave of the story, why ? Because he’s « supposed to » be free physically but being captive of his former’s self mind nullifies his physical freedom and this is showcased with Aot’s whole timeline deal. In Aot the order IS important if the very thing you want to change happened before you ( Eren’s ideology as a kid) and is preventing you actively from changing the past and thus the future then what can you do ? There are more complex explanations that I can give you but that’s the gist of it. (Eren himself said in the last episode that the future and the past exists simultaneously for him) Eren gave three reasons as to why he almost exterminated humans ( not that it makes it any less harrowing) ; For his friends safety, to entrust the future to them and to give them a good starting point as international heroes. To live in a world free of human (which is actually very interesting because it’s linked with the last panel of the boy who is going to repeat the cycle… spoilers : it’s more complex than that) But most importantly because he felt like it (Eren kid making any other choice impossible for Future Eren) = because he’s an idiot ( because kid Eren is an idiot more precisely) = a slave to freedom This is what I demonstrate in the first five paragraphs. When Eren says this happened because he’s an idiot it entails everything that happened before it from the beginning to the end of the story for his character. What’s more even if you are not a fan of him you have to understand that he’s a depiction of the cruelty of Aot’s world that his hardships are a question, that his downfall is an answer to the question that embodies him ; « In what way is Eren free » and that other characters more notably Erwin are a clear answer to the whole show. @huthunterhut

My opinion. Season 1 had the most lowpoints. But even it's lowpoints are amazing. Season 2 is amazing, with 3 utterly perfect episodes (that being episode 6, 11, 12). Season 3 is almost pure perfection with to many high points to mention. Season 4 had the second most lowpoints, but it also has the most high points, and does imo have the best of the best episodes (And that is despite not having my favorite character anymore, aka Erwin Smith). The 3 episodes of S2, the entire second half of S3 and 7/8 episodes of S4 is pure perfection
