Isayama literally stated that he hates wishy washy characters who don't stick or have not logically twisted their own goal just so the other characters can look fanatastic but that's exactly what he did to Eren in the manga and the anime 🤡🤡🤡

LOL oh wow, it seems that Isayama is using "Idiot Eren" as the ultimate scapegoat for all the obvious contradictions and inconsistencies that appear in the final arc. Mans wrote himself into a corner, couldn't figure it out, then tossed his main character (along with the integrity of the entire story) under the bus at the last minute 😂

To sum up how I feel about this entire series, is that isayama sacrifice the message of the story he set up himself, by taking eren out of the story and replace Eren with himself. When I heard he added new material, I knew in my heart he was going to extend this scene to basically talk to the audience. If u really dig into what Eren said, and then listen to all of isayama interviews after 139, “I’m an idiot” “I like to destroy things” “maybe I wish armin would do something” “I lacked confidence as a writer” blah blah blah, you can sit there and basically hear isayama literally talking to the audience; and that is what truly hurt me inside. Because when you look back, isayama had no idea what to do with eren or understood him till he say season 1 of the anime, then he had a direction; just to flop around again when he got lost in season 4 of eren being gone, and had no idea how to bring him back. It turned from a story to basically a journal of isayama trying to preach the audience of what’s not right even doe he wrote a story that set up to make “what isn’t right” the only answer

What I noticed in final episode is that they repaired armin dialogues from manga to make him look good, true to his character, while they kept eren whining about Mikasa not moving on from him same as manga and added all these new dialogues where eren admits he is an idiot with power,to make him look even more pathetic. I mean really, this is not the guy we have seen since season 1 . He always had a purpose. Joining scouts , killing titans, making it to the basement and finally killing everyone outside walls to protect island(which can be questioned). Point is, he was a goal driven guy,not an idiot with power or not a psycho( which they depict by him wanting to have a 'view'), He is ready to pay any cost for his goal(freedom), even making a bastard of himself. About mikasa thing, he cared for her as much as he did for armin, but she was always secondary to his goals.( It's like eren chasing his goal and Mikasa following him). He shouldn't be whining about mikasa. He should be whining people he killed or not able to complete his goal.

As a lukewarm AOT fan who didn't read the manga until the ending came out, even I see major problems with the conclusion, but other people who claim to have been following the series for years don't? 🤔 It's not about being liked or disliked, its about being truthful and giving credit where its due, AND criticizing it as well. It's gonna take some time before fans actually realize the mess that has been made for this series. The clout behind AOT is what's sailing it right now, so don't be surprised if fans are drunk off the hype. oooh, I can see it now... "Why AOT is not as Good As We Remember" "AOT's ending Doesn't Make sense" and "Unanswered Questions in AOT" KZbin videos out the ass when hype dies.

I can't believe how well this ending is being received. People are like "wow nothing ever changes, deep" - completely disregarding any character motivation or logic. People will watch these scenes of Eren killing his own mother, saying he had no plan, and have the entire story get flushed down the drain to have this really bizarre and ridiculous comparison between Yimir and Mikasa, and say THIS is the ending they like. This whole talking point that because we saw a more futuristic city in the anime than the manga, that it had NOTHING to do with the rumbling, despite the series itself showing people holding on to grudges for hundreds of years. The world of AoT was cartoonishly racist and evil. But showing us the nuking of paradise 100-120 years after the story? TOTALLY UNRELATED TO EREN AND THE RUMBLING! Why show it at all then? This story is so ass. People hiding behind "well Yams intentionally made it stupid" What in the world?

Well to be fair even though the ending is still bad, Mappa somehow made the chapter 139 is slightly better than in the manga and I liked they added original scenes like Levi giving candies to kids, Armin playing the kids with baseball ( preferring to Zeke ) and Zeke convince others to help armin to attack Eren. My rate for ending 4/10 in manga and for anime is now 5/10 And well at least my goat idol Arafumi Imai returns to animated one last time for AOT

My only issue of the story is Ymir. That’s it. I don’t think Eren is hated by Isayama. He has been consistently since the beginning. Once he realizes his mistakes, he cries and breaks down. It has been shown multiple times in the series from season 2 to season 3. Armin just told him there’s other options and Eren realizes his mistake. I don’t know what you guys want to hear from him? That he killed 80% of people because of Paradis? He did tell that to Armin but Armin countered him that there’s other options, that they could work on it together. Well put yourself in Eren’s shoes, what would you feel after trying out everything to change the future, but end up discovering it is all futile. Naturally he follow Ymir’s will since he is technically just borrowing her powers. At the end, I blame Isayama for not making a proper story-telling about Ymir. Her love does not make sense in Modern society. It is left to interpretation if we think about it using the mentality of ancient people.

Civil War, disease, famine, unforeseen repercussions of demolishing the global ecosystem...like any issue that isn't handled properly, that's the end of humanity as a whole. Like everyone. The most useful members of the military were killed in the fallout of Eren and Zeke's plans...civil unrest is a given. This post-100% Rumbling world would likely be a short-lived nightmare

Just a quick addition to this: From what I recall (though correct me if wrong), Marley was considered the most “progressive” of nations, in regards to their treatment of Eldians. Which should further give an idea of just how dire the situation was for the people of Paradis. And why Eren’s unwillingness to go forward with his plan is all the more baffling, writing wise. And then they get invaded again later down the line anyway for their troubles. I swear this endings gonna haunt my memory worse than Ymir’s Curse!

Guys I just watched the finale and I’ve been thinking about this for some time now correct me if I’m wrong cuz maybe I missed something but eren’s story began the day he got the founding and attack titan from his father who was manipulated by future eren right and this future eren did this because he disagreed with the kings vow of renouncing war ideology he disagreed with the king on the idea of temporary peace on paradis and that eldians deserved to die for the sins of their ancestors but now that I see this ending, isn’t eren doing the exact same thing as the king here, making temporary peace for his friends and the island gets destroyed years later he even tells armin that the conflict between eldians and outside world won’t end because he saw the future after kissing historia’s hand so if future eren already knew that the conflict won’t end and all he can do is create temporary peace for friends then why did he manipulate grisha to steal the founding I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense but what I’m trying to say it there is no difference between what eren achieved in the end and what king fritz did after the great titan war they both fought for temporary peace and accepted that the conflict won’t end so what difference did eren stealing the founding titan make in the story other than causing more deaths? Just a curious question

If Yams wanted to have made a simple, "Genocide bad" statement, he should have tried to copy One Piece as they did the generational hate much better. You want to make out a bad guy and and extremists, then make the world suck less. Have there be people who are willing to side with island, after all, those people never suffered directly under the Eldian Empire, the history is there but who are they currently suffering under? Marley. We got something of that with the Anti Marleyan volunteers but their leader was trying to euthanize Eldia as was his right hand, others were just racist, Onyankapon and Nicolo was the only decent ones there. Make them good people who just want their lands back, and make others like the Mid-East willing to work with Eldia. Have Paradis beat back Marley along with them, and show their is a possibility for coexistence. The extremists, make the Yeagerists still want to wipe everyone out because they can't let go of their hate, even with people showing they can put the past behind them those of the Yeagerists are unwilling. Have them truly show how despicable they are by having Historia shot and framing it on one of the azumabito or some other ally who was visiting the island to make it seem like even those they thought were their friends were trying to kill off the royal blood to stop Paradis from having the power to defend themselves, and in a moment of feeling pure unbridled rage and betrayal, Floch or some other Yeagerist is able to convince Eren to turn Historia into a pure titan with an injection to both save her and to activate the rumbling in order to destroy the world. It would make them irredeemable and we would feel nothing but cheer when they get diced by Mikasa. Then, then you can have the alliance seem heroes for trying to stop Eren and convince him that the Yeagerists were lying to him, then, you can have the conflict still be that even if Eren stops, with all the death he caused already there's no longer any chance for peace because he's already rumbled several nations unprovoked, then you can have it be that the world really doesn't deserve this and Eren breaking down and crying like a child because he realizes he either has to keep moving forward and kill countless innocents who didn't hate him in order to ensure the future of Paradis or stop what he's doing and leave the island's chance up to fate and the ability of negotiation for coexistence to still be possible even after the bridges he burned.

Your point about the people with privilige using it for the lesser priviliged, is why I am proud of my great-grandfather. My maternal family was of merchant class status- the European equivalent of old money (grandma's alcohol problem ruined the family fortune though). When the Nazis took over our country, they were smart enough to hog the food supplies and control the people though means like mass starvation. My great-grandfather used his privilige to smuggle food for the poor. Because he wasn't well-connected to the resistance and had a priviliged position, they didn't kil him but they did give him an intense public beating to discourage other people from doing what he did. I feel pride he didn't sell people out and tried to help the less priviliged when so many were all too happy being in a safer position then most. I do think he inspired us for generations, as one of the good things about grandma was her feminism- she used to work at an abortion clinic back when they were still illegal in my country. I was taught how important of a right this is by hearing the stories of the 12 year old rape victims grandma used to treat. My mom in turn has always been supporting charities no matter how poor we are thanks to grandma flushing all the money. As a kid, I was already involved with charity fundraisers for the rights of the mentally ill and I still give the homeless things like a part of my lunch that has been untouched if I am not that hungry, etc. One might even argue that us pursuing our good ideology is another factor as to why our family fortune went down the drain because its hard to become rich and maintain that status without making some choices that negatively impact the lesser priviliged.

Well I agree with everything in this vid maybe would you say that eren said what he said because part of eren character is that he is very erratic and he can be reckless in his approach and dialogue maybe that’s why he said what he said also eren was putting on a act before and when he let everything out without ayone thought maybe that’s part of his erratic behaviour and I was suprised because eren is usually strong minded in his own believes and he won’t let anyone convince him easliy he’s wrong but in this scene and its like in this scene he was just blaming himself and just to get armins approval in some sort and armin is the type of person who always wants that safe option and and armin is type of person that wants to go with a non violent option and options that was never ever going to work in reality but he delusions himself to think that will work to give him confront Do you think I’m right with what I’m saying ?

@@youdontneedtoknow7548 Sure. Browns thinks that when Eren said "Im free" in 131 it was meant to be literal and not ironic (This happened on Twitter). This is wrong for many reasons. One reason is because Erens view of freedom in itself is selfish and childish (his freedom is to see the sights in Armins book/feel the same sensation Armin felt) and he hurt his home, his friends and himself in order to do that whereas Armin felt freedom by feeding a squirrel nuts and picking up a seashell. Another reason is that Armin literally asks Eren "What about you is free" which gives the reader the implication that nothing about Eren is free since the narrative itself is questioning it. Another reason is Eren himself admitting hes a slave to freedom and how hes so obsessed with it to the point where he will never actually attain it. This is also why in the new script Armin picks up the seashell (seashell represents freedom) and says "So you finally noticed it. It was at our feet the whole time but you were always looking off into the distance." This is one of the COUNTLESS points Browns doesnt understand

I don't understand the hate in this scene, can't a man love someone to the point of sacrificing themselves? Stop being bitter about life and thinking that life is just hate and revenge, friendship and love are also as strong as all of this and at the same time it is the worst curse that exists but it is something so beautiful, just accept that Eren loved Mikasa even though he really there were better times for it👍🏻

@@I.K.Slash. it's called coping. They missed the point, or the story didn't end the way they wanted it to, so they try to justify why it's bad. Fine, like the preschooler you are, I'll be a nice teacher and give you a hint. Mikasa, Armin, Levi, everyone, if they went through exactly what Eren did. They'd make the exact same decision to start the Rumbling. And, if Eren didn't go through what he did, but someone else did, he'd make the exact same decision to stop it. Do you even know what an antagonist means? A villian ≠ antagonist and a hero ≠ protagonist, actual definition of a protagonist is 'around whom the story revolves' which is *Eren* and actual definition of an antagonist is 'one who opposes the protagonist' which *isn't Eren*
