Take this fact with the theory that each OP for SnK mirrors Eren's mindset season to season, and we can see that despite his apparent change in S4, he is essentially the same Eren as from earlier in the show: someone whose ultimate loyalty is to his friends, his people, and who will dedicate himself to utterly destroying whoever seeks to oppose them, be they the Titans or the Marleyans or even the rest of the world itself
