Also, I'm not 100% sure about the translation but it was also referred to as the "euthanization" plan in the manga.

You're probably the best reactor out there man. Have you watched The Sopranos? If you haven't, I highly suggest you do a reaction series for it. Personally it's the best TV show ever made, it's groundbreaking. And I would LOVE to see your deep dive analysis for each episode. A show like The Sopranos totally deserves it. It would be an amazing ride. And there are hardly any reactions out there for it.

Declaration of War, Assault, Children of the Forest, Savagery, Sole Salvation, I think all of those have a very strong candidacy for best episode of the season thus far. For me it has to be basically a 1A, 1B situation regarding Declaration of War and Sole Salvation. As a manga reader I was genuinely shocked how the episode I was most looking forward to, Savagery, managed to be immediately topped by the episode that came out directly after, it was really that impressive.

You could say Zeke's miscalculation in "Savagery" was thinking Levi was nothing like him, and would be unwilling to put others out of their misery, while we know that Levi's life was filled with others dying around him, through his decisions or his own hand. Here, Heichou's miscalculation was thinking Zeke was nothing like him, and that he valued his own life above everything else and was devoid of sympathy, while in this episode we got to know how little Zeke thinks of the value of any life, including his own, and how he percieves his actions to be merciful instead of sadistic. I always appreciated this sort of contrast between them, and would like to have seen them talk more to each other about their own experiences, even if they are antagonistic. Of course, they decided to fight each other out of the forest instead of talking themselves out of it, but to me it's still a nice "what if" to consider. Once again, great reaction, Im, thank you for the video.

When I first watched "Perfect Game", I would never have thought that one season later, I would have so much compassion for Zeke. Also, I watched the first three seasons with French subs where the characters names are spelled using French or German pronunciation. For nearly all of them I prefer the English spelling, the exception being Zeke spelled "Sieg" = victory in German: it's a constant reminder that before even his birth (because most of the time parents choose a name for their child before its birth) his parents considered him as an instrument :(

What I really like about Zeke is how in a way he embodies the ideology of Karl Fritz. He wants to build a world where the remaining Eldians can live in a “paradise”away from the outside world and have them slowly live out their lives and fade out of existence in the world. He also uses the threat of the rumbling that Karl Fritz used. I don’t know if we are going to get a flashback of Karl Fritz and all that stuff with the early days of Paradis but I feel like Karl Fritz and Zeke have a very similar ideology. Just like Eren,Grisha, and the Owl have their own ideology of freedom. Makes me really appreciate Zeke’s character. S tier character for me!

This is the only reaction channel besides SOS brothers where I even enjoy the calmer, dialogue heavy episodes, because you actually have to say something about it than just the standard phrases of most other channels :)

It's honestly incredible that you do not read the manga. This shows two things: 1) your utmost dedication and attention to the show 2) the perfectly logical narrative set up by Isayama over the course of the chapters, so that it's perfectly possible to predict what will happen in the future. Shocking moments are not added to this show as cheap thrills, but as the result of everything that has been built up previously. Bravo Isayama, bravo FilmBuff

I'm just amazed at how quick you understand what's happening even between lines; us average anime enjoyers are just blind in comparison.

Happy to see someone who has enough empathy and emotional intelligence to truly see Zeke as one of the most tragic characters in anime. I hadn't even put it together that Eren might know that Zeke turned his own father (and mother). When you keep that in mind, it's amazing to see how sad it is that Zeke is being manipulated by Eren, just as he was by Grisha all those years ago. Comparing Grisha before he met the Owl to Rod Reiss was very interesting too. While Grisha was willing to push forward after losing everything and his encounter with Kruger, he still was more than willing to put his child in danger for Eldians. I think Grisha didn't know about the Curse of Ymir until after Zeke's betrayal, but he still put Zeke in grave danger of a horrid death every single time he did anything related to the restorationists' cause. Great analysis, can't wait for Season 4 pt 3

glad to see such a big appreciation for this episode, the backstory focuses are always some of my favorites as well. Zeke is such a fascinating character! I can't believe this snk journey will be over next week, until part two that is! I'm currently reading the Vinland Saga manga so I'll definitely be joining to watch the anime for the first time, very excited :)

One of the episodes of MANY, to make me cry especially that scene with Ksaver- san, THE MUSIC in AOT is everything, when they hit u that traumatic backstory and those strings play, I get in my feels. In terms of Zeke, I get why he is the way he is, from his childhood and Grisha's approach to parenting and his forcing of ideals on his son, the same way Grisha forced the Founding Titan on Eren... That is why Eren and Zeke have a common ground... they didn't want to be in a world where they are powerless and made to be cattle/lambs to the slaughter

57:30 this might be the first time i have to disagree. no more eldians would mean no more supremacy in war for marley. we have seen even WITH the warriors AND the flying pure titan bombardment, they are barely winning wars. the end of the eldian race would f%$k marley pretty hard.
