Really love how Samuel brought back some old themes that we haven't heard in a long time in AoT. Like "Call of Silence" at 0:57 and then "Counter Attack-Mankind" at 1:37. When I heard these two being referenced in this incredible arrangement, I just felt so many emotions flood back in me because it just threw me way back to those earlier episodes. Don't get me wrong, I love AoT right now, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss what it used to be. I guess I just miss the feeling of curiosity and the not knowing how the story would turn out. But since I've already read the manga, it's like that "magic" is not necessarily gone, but just not the same. Really going to miss this masterpiece of a show when it's finally finished.

I realized Eren and Mikasa never slowed down to take in all they have accomplished. The suffering and despair in their lives forces them to keep moving forward with their duties, prompting them to give their best effort in every difficult circumstance. I have been watching the series for a year and just realized how big they have grown from kids. Even to me, as a viewer, I have rarely thought about Eren and Mikasa being adults, no longer kids with limitless ambitions. This music is beautiful, this anime is not real, but so realistic at the same time.

Such a beauty melody, one of the most striking sounds I've ever heard. It's haunting and melancholic yet so beautiful and peaceful. When I listen it makes me grateful to have lived in this world and experienced an expression of such wonderful beauty. As tragic as this beautiful story is, I feel at peace knowing that Eren lived a meaningful life and is at peace. Ofcourse we'd love a happy ending where Eren lived and could be with Mikasa, but that doesn't mean their love wasn't special. Ofcourse he desired to be with Mikasa and his friends but he truly believed in his own sacrifice for them. "The world is cruel, but I still love you". This perfectly encapsulates that the world broke them through the sacrifices they made but their love endured. Eren sacrificed his final years of happiness with Mikasa to stay and defend Paradis so his friends could live peaceful lives. Mikasa sacrificed her love to save what remained of the world, and also freed Ymir from the consequences of the sacrifice she could not make. Despite the cruelty of these sacrifices they loved eachother and what matters is their freedom, resilience & choice to rise above that pain and see the beauty in the world, their love. His love for Mikasa affirms though this world does not seem worth living in, there are people worth living for. It eases the heartache of saying goodbye knowing despite the dark path Eren went down, he still lived a meaningful and fulfilling life where he loved and was loved both in the paths with Mikasa and the world. "The world is cruel, but it's also beautiful". This is because of the love Eren and Mikasa had for eachother. They were eachothers constant companion and peace.

Now I understand, he didn't want to continue with that destiny, he wanted to be next to the woman he loves. It hurts, it hurts a lot. La + evidente quella sul carro quando Eren esterna i suoi sentimenti ai suoi amici e gli unici occhi che si incrociano e inquadrano sono quelli dei volti arrossiti di Eren e Mikasa. Credo la canzone rispecchi perfettamente l'amore fra Eren e Mikasa, ma anche se triste per un amore mai vissuto davvero mi piace pensare che Eren ci ha mostrato sacrificare tutto se stesso non è nulla per il bene della persona che si ama e Mikasa ci ha mostrato che si può amare, anche per tutta la vita una persona senza esserne schiavi. Alla fine Eren muore e lascia in eredità a Mikasa la libertà da lui tanto inseguita e mai raggiunta e credo che Mikasa l'abbia custodita aspettando tutta la vita il momento di ritrovarsi con lui e poterne finalmente godere con lui
