"Children of the Forest." One of the series' best episodes. Truly. Nicolo and Gabi's Voice Actors deserve rewards for the voice acting. And to top it off with Papa Braus' speech, and the wine reveal is nothing short of perfection. Meanwhile, Eren now has a habit of talking to his friends while holding them at Titanpoint. "Savagery." Levi's facial expression as he was descending down towards his 30 comrades turned-Titans absolutely destroyed me. Being Humanity's Strongest Soldier, not only is he cursed to witness people die around him, but he also has to kill his own men to survive. Kills me every time he makes that face. But despite all that, he never falters. He never shakes. He remains collected.

The only part that bothers me about Levi vs Zeke is that damn song choice. Great song to hype something up, but I think a more subtle and tragic song would better fit that moment of Levi once again proving why he is humanity's strongest soldier by slaughtering titans that used to be his men, then once again annihilating the person responsible. The song made it more of a hype fight when imo it should have been a more emotional character moment.

I think when Mikasa says, "No... It wasn't a mistake," and thinks back to the moment Eren wrapped the scarf around her, that she's trying to say that she cares about Eren because of that moment and the warmth he showed her specifically-not because he was the host she needed to protect. Her eyes were lifeless until he wrapped the scarf around her and gave her a home. I think she just genuinely has no idea how to express her emotions. I can't imagine how impactful it must've been for her to be shown such warmth and beauty just after losing her parents and her entire life, basically. I think Eren became "home" for her. He protected her, he gave her a home, he gave her hope and showed her how to fight even when things couldn't be any worse. In my opinion, she genuinely cares about him, and not because of her being an Ackerman.

When I started it, I was expecting this to be like any other anime - simple: good vs bad. Never in a million years did I think it would be this deep and thought-provoking but as it went on, doors were opened (literally) and everything was explained

Mr. Braus was the much needed voice of reason in an extremely chaotic situation where everyone was reacting emotionally. Even Levi seemed to be acting emotionally, in spite of how sound he typically is in his judgment.. I loved that speech of Mr. Braus. I sensed it was directed not only at the other characters, but to us the viewers as well. Things go from bad to worse when you act on impulse, on emotion without compassion and reason. More so, Mr. Braus hints that perhaps the only way to break the cycle is through forgiveness.

I always thought eren was doing revisionist history with mikasa about the Ackermans as the other Ackermans, levi and kenny had no such problems, with Kenny able to attack uri before uri basically standing down, and levi being able to kick eren at the trial in s1 and when they collected eren on the airship even when he knew he had the founding titan. And sure eren may have hated being saved by Mikasa in the past, but if armin is being influenced by bertholt, then following his own logic, he would be influenced by the warhammer titan

Well I'd have to disagree with you for some of those. First of all, the person Levi would have been attached to was Erwin, not Eren. Also, Kenny attacked Uri before getting attached go him. I don't think Eren was being entirely truthful about the Ackermans, but those examples aren't really counter-arguments tbh. And lastly, I think what he's saying about Armin is that he's allowing himself to be controlled by Bertholt's memories while not aware of it, instead Eren is actively aware of the effect they have on him and doesn't let them control him.

Aaactually: AoT is sadly full of established misstranslations or to be exact: full of wrongly chosen possible translations. Japanese is on a fundamental level so different from english, that sadly happens all the time. The word "Marley" is from the italian word "Mare" (not pronounced like a female horse), which mean sea. Marley is highly assosiated with the sea, with it´s food just for example. It´s flag even is a seashell. On the other side, there is Eldia. Ever noticed how many german names are in the show? Especially for people from Eldia. Eldia itself based on a german word, namely "Erde" wich means earth. The nation should have been translated as "Erdia". There is a reason the titans are also called the "devils of all earth". Eldia and Marley just mean nothing in comparison. I´m not making that up, I swear.

Good points. And in the flashbacks, we've seen the proto-Marleyans in Roman legionary-style armor. We'll see the proto-Eldians in Visigothic armor and costume, too.

Shigeru I can think of similar examples in Dragon Ball. Most characters are puns but whoever worked on the dub don't understand the series well enough to know where the names originated from. For example, Guldo from the Ginyu force is a pun on Yogurt, so the subtitles for the Japanese version translated it more accurately as "Gurd."

there is no proof that Ackermans are not effected by the titan spinal fluid, its just an assumption. and they are definitely Eldians. thats why they have their power. because of titan technology. they have the power of titans in human form. even if they originally were not Edlians you can't live with a group of people for 100 years and not procreate with them
