it's written by Yoshiki and sung by Hyde two of the most influential musicians and composers in Japanese history Yoshiki invented the genre of Visual Kei along with Hide and brought metal/rock and ballads to the mainstream in Japan ( fun fact Hyde originally went by Hide but realized he had to change his name because Hideto "Hide" Motsumoto the guy i mentioned earlier was Quickly reaching insurmountable fame and Hyde didn't want to share the same name for obvious reasons then Hide sadly died) Yoshiki is known for working with everyone from Stan lee to Paul McCartney the guy loves doing collaborations and is doing one with Marlon Mason currently Hyde has an insane voice with a 5 octave voice range so it's nice hearing him sing this instead of Toshi though Toshi is just as amazing too just a different type of singer

Thank you for this song Pellek. Actually, this opening song really make me almost cried when I first heard it in the episode 1 opening song. It has some sort of reflection to humanity feels to it. I don't care about people who hated it for "not" being attack on titan feel, because they are just not open minded enough. They thought action show only need high pitch song with loud music, which is sad to be honest. At least, I glad this song came to existence which fit the arc of season 3. For those who have read the manga that will adapt into season 3, I assure, you will love this song.
