"An Ordinary day" is a strangely perfect way to describe the indescribable horror of the rumbling. One moment you're living your life, the next you see unexplained apocalypse marching towards you. The sheer panic of it must be indescribable. You can see it, just barely at first. The cloud of scalding steam at first, you feel their rumbling footsteps in your bones, the thunder of their march getting closer and closer. Till finally you can clearly see it. The skinless giants, their gaze unchanging, a grimace with no mind behind it, they don't even blink. And no matter what you do or try you cannot out run them. You cannot hide from them. One of them will turn you into a splatter of blood and broken bones and leave your mangled corpse behind in a desolate wasteland that was beautiful just moments ago.
@mrsticky0058 ай бұрын
It makes me think of the Mikasa and Eren's alternative future where they are just living an "ordinary life" together but instead Mikasa faces a hellish reality. Actually it kinda makes me wonder if Armin would have lived in that future or if the trio would be cursed no matter what to at least one of them.

I'm so glad that "An ordinary day" is finally here. The scene it plays in is arguably the single best scene in all of AoT and my personal favourite.
@OnMyLunchBreak0710 ай бұрын
It's one of the best scenes in television history. The music, the dialogue, the animation, and of course the absolutely horrific chaos- it's perfect!
@Jerry98x10 ай бұрын
I still believe that TK-T was the best possible song for that scene because it makes the listener focus on Eren's inner feelings more than the destruction caused by the Rumbling and I think that was important. But my second choice was a new song and this one is great as well and the scene turned out good anyway
@basementreviewer78810 ай бұрын
Eren's feelings ARE the point of the rumbling. It's a dark and twisted necessity to wipe the world clean. T-KT is too soft and almost heroic, it doesnt fit the tone of the scene at all, nor does it match Eren's disappointment. His scene with Ramzi is an admission of guilt of his worst impulses. It's not a scene that tries to make you sympathize with his pain of doing the rumbling, but his pain of being incapable to change his nature as a person.@@Jerry98x
@Jerry98x10 ай бұрын
@@basementreviewer788 No, I'm pretty sure you're thinking of ThanksAt. That one is almost heroic. TK-T is the other more depressed version of ThanksAt and it isn't heroic at all. Why do you think it is played after the ocean scene or during Ymir's past when she became a slave? Read chapter 131 with TK-T as background music and you'll see. That song is literally the embodiment of Eren's disappointment, what are you talking about? What you say at the end of the comment is true, though. So we either perceive different things when we listen to that song or I don't know...

This is such a bold statement...which I very much can get behind. Hiroyuki Sawano brought life to this show (like any good manga adaptation deserves) I feel the show would've still been good with mediocre music bc it's such a good story, but man, did they hit the mark in every damn scene, the way the show timed moments happening with the 'good' parts in the song (or what became memorable parts) is outstanding. Also props to Yamamoto for S4 onward, didn't miss a beat 👏

Attack on titan ended forever. I remember watching it as a kid when the first episode just came out, i was immediatly in love with the anime and manga. Since that day, my life has always been filled with aot. I can’t believe it been 10 years and now it ended. I feel emptiness in my heart but also some beautiful feeling i can’t explain. Aot was big part of my life and it will always be. I remember my first reaction when i watched the first episode. I asked “Who is this boy?” to Eren and i was attracted to him right that moment. And today after 10 years i will always answer with proud and emotional state to the people if they ask the same question to me because he was the most amazing character i have ever seen. He is more than just a character. I want to talk about my precious Mikasa too. She is the most amazing woman i have ever seen in series. I am sure she is a role model for so many women. Mikasa isn't like other animes female characters. She is strong, powerful, independent. She is strong both mentally and physically. I admire her a lot. She was also the freest person in the aot. Like Mikasa said “This world is cruel… but it’s also very beautiful.” Thank you for showing this to us Eren and Mikasa. Thank you for teaching us a lot of things. The bond between you two is the most pure and beautiful thing ever. Eren and Mikasa deserved the most. Mikasa’s heart always belonged to him. She always visited his grave and stayed loyal to him. They both waited each other and now we all know they are finally together in afterlife. As an artist and author i will always make you two live. Goodbye to the boy who sought freedom and brought freedom, goodbye to the strong, brave girl who always loved Eren no matter what. Rest in peace and be free Eren, live a long beautiful life Mikasa. You two will always be in my heart and will be the important part of my life. Also goodbye to the others who dedicated their hearts in attack on titan. Thank you Isayama and voice actors who did wonderful job. I also want to thank Isayama for the such strong and not sexualised female characters. That’s the one of the greatest thing in aot. There is a lot of amazing things in aot. Attack on titan is literally masterpiece. Attack on titan has added a lot to my life. Goodbye attack on titan, an anime grew up with me. Let’s decicate our hearts one last time for all of them. Shinzou wo sasageyo! 🧣🕊️⚔️ Itterasshai Eren, Itterasshai Mikasa. I won’t say sayonara because you two will always be with me all my life.

Aim of the Fate could have been perfect for mikasa killing eren if they changed the animation and slowed the scene. I can already imagine the scene with the song and its too good
