The full lyric video didn't have the best translation. For example, it translated one of the final lines as "Get out of here, no matter how many times you get lost" when it really should have said "Get out of the forest, no matter how many times you may lose your way". The Japanese lyrics incorporate a lot of the iconic lines from the show from the various seasons, but the translation used here kinda butchers it. Anyway, did you notice how Revo (the composer) referred to (either directly or thematically) the song titles of all the AoT Openings and Endings in the song? It's more obvious using the Japanese lyrics, but I'll use the translation used here with the English translated titles to point them out: - It shot out like a Bow and Arrow -> Crimson Bow & Arrow (S1 Part 1 Opening Song) - Slaves who dreamt of Freedom -> The Wings of Freedom (S1 Part 2 Opening Song) - Watched many Offered Hearts pass on -> Offer Your Hearts! (S2 Opening Song) - and became a Bird drenched in Red -> Red Swan (S3 Part 1 Opening Song) - The Road paved with Corpses -> The Path of Aspirations and Corpses (S3 Part 2 Opening Song) - follows the Battles and crosses the sea -> My War (S4 Part 1 Opening Song) - The ground Rumbling loudly, but it continues onward -> The Rumbling (S4 Part 2 Opening Song) - In this Cruel World of walls -> This Cruel and Beautiful World (S1 Part 1 Ending Song) - no matter where I run -> Great Escape (S1 Part 2 Ending Song) - Chased by the falling sun, tearing at my wings -> The Bird at Dusk (S2 Ending Song) - I long for the song of the dawn -> Requiem of the Dawn (S3 Part 1 Ending Song) - Sometimes I miss the Name of Love -> Name of Love (S3 Part 3 Ending Song) - I tame Shock and despair -> Shock (S4 Part 1 Ending Song) - I wanted to be Under the same Tree -> Under the Tree (S4 Special 1 Ending Song) - even if I was surrounded by the Devil -> The Devil's Child (S4 Part 2 Ending Song) As for the final movie stinger, to be fair, that's how the manga ended as well. My head canon says that it's the cast from Attack on Titan: Junior High all grown up and thus THAT'S the real timeline. 😆
