I was born in Soviet country and always heard German as a rude sounding language, but this gave me goose bumps from the beginning till the end. Hiroyuki Sawano is a genius. To create something, because AOT was implying that it’s German based universe, and it fits so perfectly.

@@Annicolau Well, I am German as well, and to be honest in the original it is for us native speakers really hard to hear out that it is in fact german for 2 reasons. 1. In the original the words get very often drowned out throug orchestry. 2. The pronounciation was really bad, don't get me wrong the song is amazing, but for a pre recorded song I would expect more precise spelling. If I would hear the spelling without the melody I would probably get it, but not in a situation like when I am intensively watching a show with a huge plot twist and this gibberish of german xD.

This is why I need to see AOT through anime. Manga doesnt give you music. The feel is great but its never the same without music. Isayama and Sawano are deadly duo. YouSeeBigGirl - PERFECT for Betrayal. Apple Seed - PERFECT for Suicidal or Kamikazeing in your last moment. Thats how PERFECT AOT are. I think that's a little complicated to say if she is or not German. There are actually many German dialects the most common is the Hochdeutsch that's the one said in north/northwest of German including Berlin. But there are others very common for example the Bavarian German which it's the one speak from the Bavaria region (Munich/München example). I'm studying German and it's very amazing and of course now I can understand amazing anime music from Aot and others animes.
