I feel like if it had more of a proper backtracking system and an expansive overworld (like not just peach’s castle) then it would’ve been much better. I used to think as a kid that if you completed the game you could visit the present day overworld. Imagine if that was the case lmao.

​@@x8bitpixelfor me it was the balancing. Lots of tough battles mid to late game, and even using the bro moves equivalent, the battles are bloody long. It's probably the one game in the series that needs a remake the most. Everything else about the game was solid aside from the ridiculous amount of HP the bosses had.
