True to your word! Great video. Love when you evoke Kobe to inspire the benefits of basketball IQ and the “know the rules to play through the rules.”

Good video, but what will happen when the violation was made? The second team will get the ball and enter it to the game by throwing it to their teammate? From what line? Is there any places where the team that made a violation where they can't go until the second team enters the ball to the game? What happens when the foul was made? Please tell me!!

When a foul happens on the sideline, wherever the foul happened, the nearest out of bounds line is where the ball will be thrown in from. The defense does not have a special place where they can or cannot go when the other team is throwing the ball in. Basically the only thing the defense CANNOT do is reach over the out of bounds line to block the ball that is being thrown in. If they do that, they will be called for a technical foul. Hopefully that helps!

Do you have a video that explains what contact is a foul? Ex: if defender is blocking a shot, what body contact is acceptable? And whats legal contact in the post? Or for guards - what contact creates a reaching foul or how "hands on" you can be? I see zero consistency in the calls and would love to learn what the ref is looking for.

Great awareness. It will be very situational depending on the game and the referees. I would highly recommend that you talk to the refs BEFORE the game. Ask them to show you specifically how they are going to call the game (not only with their words but with their body as well). Then you know you are on the same page as they are. I would do this before EVERY game as, even if the ref is the same, he/she may be having a bad day and call a tighter game than they did previously. I hope this helps!

@ATTACKBball haha, thank you. I'm old. Just watching and playing for fun these days. But as a watcher - I despise the lack of real explanation of what makes a foul these days.

There is. It's also called a gather step. Hopefully this helps to clarify

What about shooting fouls? These are the confusing ones
@ATTACKBball8 күн бұрын
Very true. Do you have a specific question about a shooting foul that we could answer?
