OK, what does "balle" mean in Persian and Uyghur? (I will tell you what it means in Punjabi). Yes, you are right that "shava" is a corruption of shabash...but do Persians and Turks actually say "shava"? I mean, Urdu speakers don't have shava, it is Punjabis that do. The combination of "balle" with "shava" is a stereotypical thing in Punjabi pop ("bhangra") songs so...I really think they are just copying this since bhangra is so prevalent.

Zarin, kill me but dont repeat this again. Most Punjabis are AFGHANS?????????????????????? Joke of the millenium. Afghans have spent hundereds of years in Indo-Pak but are still holding their characteristics like called Khans and have Afghan features. Punjabis; they are another story my dear so get your facts right. Once again i request that it wont hurt if you kill me but it will hurt if you call Afghans as punjabis .... thats a humble request
