Hi Manuel, I'm considering getting an Alesis Vortex II. Can you tell me if you can plug the dongle directly into the Kronos as well ? Does that work ?
@ManueldelaTorre6 жыл бұрын
kpm75 I have not personally attempted this, but according to Alesis support, you're not supposed to connect the USB dongle directly to a synthesizer. I don't think it would damage the port, but I could be wrong.

Hi Manuel, what I would like it to do is just duplicating the Kronos keyboard, some forums say that works just plugging the dongle in the Kronos does exactly that. Would you mind trying if that's the case indeed ?

@@kpm75 it works. :)

Got mine some days ago, and indeed it works but not flawless... Quite often you get notes not getting their midi note-off command, so they keep hanging. Wired there's no problem, but using the dongle I wouldn't risk using it in a live situation.

@@kpm75 the wireless system is not very strong. I was dealing with the same issue, so now I connect the dongle via a little USB extension cable, and place it clear of interference. Works much better, but I still don't wander too far.

What’s the name of the VST host for the tablet again? What VSTs are you using for that? Thanks!

Cantabile Performer. Some of the VSTs I use regularly: Kontakt, Guitar Rig, MusicLab RealLPC, MusicLab RealGuitar, Audio Modeling SWAM The Saxophones, ROLI Equator, Steinberg HALion, SampleTank, iZotope VocalSynth.

Maybe it's my age, but there's no amount of money that would make me want to pack all that up, load it, unload it, set it up, perform, pack it, load it, unload it, unpack it, set it up then repeat, Nice gear though. :).

A roadie would be nice. 😂

I agree with you, that's a lot to pack up. However there definitely is a price where I would bring all 12 or so keyboards I own! I haven't gotten that price yet though! 😂🤣😂🤣

Excelente trabajo amigo! Que aplicaciones usas en tu iPad pro?
@ManueldelaTorre6 жыл бұрын
Gracias, Roberto. Para tocadas en vivo, principalmente uso BandHelper, y las aplicaciones de las consolas Behringer XR18 y X32 para ajustar monitores.

@@ManueldelaTorre well I'm super impressed all around. great rig, great sounds. i dunno if anyone else would watch it, but i'd be interested in a seeing how you break it down, what everything is stored in for transport, etc... i've been adding to my rig a little this year with various extra little things after a decade of just plugging one keyboard into one amp or PA. keeping various small but expensive components like tablets and what seems like a billion patch cables organized is now a challenge.

Nice rig. I also have a Kronos but it's a 73 key first generation. Above that I have a King Korg and above that my old Wavestation EX. On the other side of my room I have a Korg Triton Por x, my ancient Minikorg and my old Polysix.. Here's a quick video tour if you'd like to see. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3_bonV3lq2siLs
