To make detangling easier you should put in your leave-in in the shower while your hair is soaking wet. Then when you get out of the shower start detangling while it’s still soaking wet and with the leave-in in.

For some reason for me, my hair doesnt take in the product as well when its soaking wet, im assuming because the strands are too full of water.

Pro Tip: since you're using a wide tooth comb, your curls won't clump as much as they could. After you detangle, try shingling each section of your hair to form defined curls in each section.

Hey girl.. so you totally don’t have to take my advice, I know some things that work for me, may not work for others, but I just thought I’d share it because I think it might be of help.. it might be a little easier to detangle by switching the order of the way you wash your hair.. for me, I always wash with shampoo and conditioner, and then I deep condition and detangle my hair with the deep conditioner still in my hair only right before I rinse it out.. it makes it a lot easier to detangle, especially if you use the shower cap for a few hours or overnight because the product is penetrating the strands of your hair. Whereas doing the opposite, you basically end up sucking out the moisture that you just put into your strands when adding the shampoo.. (at least from my understanding, please feel free to correct me if I’m misinformed.)

Just a tip: If you wet your hair way more to the point that you see no more dry spots and then style you will get less frizz and more definition. Also after you put your products you should scrunch your hair and if you hear a squish sound that means your hair will fully absorb the products instead of them sitting on top of your hair strands.
