Good job! I really enjoy seeing you progress as a rider, and as someone who just started mountain biking it gives me the courage to try new features. One suggestion: I liked the style you did of showing the jumps on the trail as you conquered them (I know that must have taken a lot of time to setup), but one thing I would suggest adding is a progress bar or something showing the sections as you go through them so you can tell where you are and what jumps or features you are doing. Keep up the good work!

Tip: When your in the air try to get loose, one way I have found to get loose is to do a bar turn or a whip this will help you on the trail when your claw ring big jumps and it makes you look steazy AF

@harryfindlay46824 жыл бұрын
Gab Bertozzi this might sound a bit weird but one of the best ways I have found to get loose in the air and while riding the trail is to sing a song in your head It takes your mind off of what’s ahead And if this doesn’t work it’s all about confidence, before you want to hit a big jump pump yourself up and I would start by doing a couple of runs on that trail to get yourself comfortable on the other jumps in the trail if there are any

Great video and I like seeing you work through your process for progression. I really like what you did with diagramming out the different zones and their individual jumps at the top of the screen. However, I found it confusing to follow what jump you were coming up to on the repeat runs where each jump already had the previous result shown (esp. anticipating an upcoming "X" as you worked through a string of previously-completed jumps -- "wait, is the "X" jump coming up in 2 or 3 jumps?"). If you use this method in future videos, I'd like to see you "grey out" the green checkmarks from a previous run, making them solid again as you re-complete those jumps. Great work!

@willbros14994 жыл бұрын
Great video! Anything tells a story is always more compelling. A possible interesting idea for a future video, would be to go back in time and show some side-by-side comparisons of your from on the same trail last time, or some clips of you jumping at other places versus now. Your form is infinitely better. I will always contend that it isn't until riders learn how to boost off the lips, that they will truly have the correct form going up the face. I think the best thing riders can do is go find a short gap double, and practice it over and over. Start at a speed that they can just ride over it and clear it, and then start going into it progressively slower and slower, and forcing themselves to use the suspension and their legs to gain the height needed to clear it. SO MANY riders are concerned about getting thrown into the air, so they absorb the forces from the face of the jump with their legs, instead of limiting the knee bend, controlling the bike, and allowing the suspension to help do the work for them. Squashing jumps is a great skill to develop, but if you START with that form out of fear instincts of "launching too high," then it ingrains HORRIBLE habits that are hard to break. I know...from personal experience. Better to start small, learn correct form and how to create lift, and then move that form to bigger jumps.
