Once again in another banger of a video which will be a unique one. After browsing the r/batmanarkham sub reddit, I have always wondered how possible it would be to do what Arkham Batman can do in real life. One of those being how possible would it be to remove a vent cover like you do in all the Arkham games. Now you might be asking yourself: "What is Man Ham doing? Is he stupid?". If so, you would probably be correct. But today's funny experiment is one that would see if I can become Arkham Batman in real life.... or if I can become Man: Ham City.

Ok sooo I work in construction specifically As a commercial electrician and those bolts being in concrete are not directly bolted into concrete they’re more likely just drilled into the duct frame which is ridiculous easy to pull out. Because it’s only one 1 or so threads grabbing onto it

i believe batman canonically has mechainics in his suit that allow him to bend things - like steel - with ease. In the dark knight 2008, you can hear a lil mechanical "whirring" noise as he bends the gun barrel near the beginning of the film. I've also read comics where he also has this detail. The Nolanverse movies aren't a good source to take from. That version of Batman is significantly weaker than other versions of Batman because Nolan wanted to make it "realistic". Nolanverse Batman wouldn't even be able to survive against the likes of Clayface, Mister Freeze, or Poison Ivy because meta-humans don't exist in the Nolanverse, meaning he would have no way of actually fighting them.

So to add some more points in batman's favor, as others have said, Gotham's architecture is old, so I don't expect the bolts and screw holes to be the best fit anymore. Likewise I think the vent grate would be aluminum not steel, which would make it lighter but also (somewhat) easier to bend. Batman is still crazy strong and I'm sure his suit helps, but this is one instance where I think you made it harder on yourself.

Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. Batman is at peak human physical Fitness in Batman issue Number 655 Bruce is shown to be bench pressing over 1000 pounds during one of his regular workouts. In Batman Odyssey issue number 2 Bruce mentions that his maximum leg press is 2500 pounds.

in the dark knight film the scene where hes stopping the batman wannabes from shooting their DMR he grab the barrel and bends it downward with ease his forearm has a pneumatic mangler tool attached to the gauntlet. he uses this tool twice in the scene 2nd in which he tries to cut open the side of van hes on but ultimately fails as it gets jammed he then pops it off in the heat of being nearly missed by a pillar in the parking lot. this tool cool be embedded in the gauntlet for arkham batmans suit which is probably why he can open vents.

Your task was made more difficult by the wiggling of the wall you built on wood posts in your yard. A sturdy wall wouldn’t have as much give to it which would translate more of the force from your grip into ripping the grate off.

Arkham Asylum is like 100 years old right? When you have to do maintenance and inspections on something like brick and concrete you wear down the threading removing and reinstalling giant heavy steel grates (that the average maintenance man probably is doing by himself) with a timetable on top of being in a facility infamous for holding dangerous people who break out on the regular is frankly a recipe you may find the vent covers to be less then robust... Also, your wall mount is only anchored at the bottom, your losing a lot of force attempting to pull from a flexible table, and also pulling on a flexible wall, skipping the math(and generously rounding) your only applying like a 1/4 of what you might expect. The bats has rigid footing against a rigid point.
