Attempting This Gap Jump on my Hardtail - Blankets Creek / The Holler

In this video, I work on overcoming my fear of this pretty decent sized gap/double at Blankets Creek on THE HOLLER. Ever since I first laid eyes on this jump about a year and a half ago, I knew I had to clear it one day. Today was the day to give it a shot. The lip is pretty steep for how long the jump is, and the landing does not look very forgiving at all..
This is filmed on my new GoPro Hero 12 which is upgraded from a Hero 9. I'm still messing around with the settings and this was one of my first rides with the camera. (with usable footage)
I plan to keep changing settings until I get what I like best and also which works best for my laptop and editing software.
I definitely plan to finish this jump line one day, because It's easily one of the BEST free jump lines around! Thanks for watching again, and don't forget to try new things and trust your abilities!

@@tylermoore9423 Thanks man! I definitely have been looking it at for a while whenever I go there and knew someday I had to send it. When you have that confidence you just gotta go for it, and it’s full speed out of that berm. Not gonna lie I’m nervous to do it again haha, but I know I can trust the jumps and the trail speed now. The next jumps are still scary for me Lol.

@@CoastinWithNick yeah youre right, gotta get those when everything feels right. Ive been practicing on the new step up on VMT, that lip is similar to the one in your video. Hoping working on that one will get me ready for the Holler gaps. Well good for ya dude, it was cool to see somebody do it for the first time.

Awesome job dude, great video! When you hit the gap, it's like a double bounce on a trampoline, just hovering. Hearing the excitement after is awesome. Is a/your dirt jumper suited for these? I believe Kellen Peak said these are mountain bike jumps not dirt jumps back in the day or something...but hell yeah! well done sir, very well done 👍

The airtime is insane!! I can’t wait to go back and clean that one to where I don’t even think about it. Then it’s time to finish the last jumps, Lol. Easier said than done haha. I’m not really sure about the dirt jumper, but I’m sure it could be done (but very terrifying) as I saw someone named Barry Nobles hit those on a dirt jumper in an older video. I think he is a professional BMX racer. Thanks for always watching and supporting man! 👊🏼

@@CoastinWithNick Dude you make it look easy, I know it's not, not even close! Your riding and approach to insane features is respected, that's a big part of the glue making it happen! Those are insanely massive jumps, I've rolled up to them, laughed and nope! Excellent third person shots, also, is the camera mounted upside down, and is it line with the mount or below the mount? Always have my support!! 👌

@@Mtbdrumrunner I really appreciate it! These videos were with the GoPro upside on the chesty mount. Recoding in 8:7. Going to test out just recording in wide screen next to see how I like it better. So I don’t have to crop the footage each time
