I made a wooden bass a few months ago, so today I made a wooden phaser pedal. I used the schematics created by Barbarach BC • Breadboarding a simple...
At the end of the video I try it out with my bass. It's a rather subdued effect, but I must admit I made a few ill-advised substitutions and mistakes. Perhaps I'll try his updated version.

Such a cool project! Reminded me of when I built a radio at school. That was nice! As well as this one. 🎸📻

Thank you, Kimi! That's exactly how I approach these projects - like they are school projects. I have a small amount of skill in this area and I learned some important things while I built this circuit, so I hope that others learned something while they watched me go through it. It's funny you mentioned radios because I answered a text while I had everything plugged in and the circuit somehow received the RF signals. I have it on video and I kept it so I could make another video about radio interference.🤓📡

Thanks for your Video..Very informative...i am satisfied to say that i was able to build a sequencer and a small synth using the Atari punk 555 chip......it was a struggle and complete....i'm looking to build a delay circuit using the PT 2399 Delay Circuit Chip...i want to use 2 of them to create a complex Delay....Thanks to your video, i'm inspired now....Sarah must see this Vid...

Wow! That's a huge acheivement! Believe me, I feel youir pain, because this was ten times harder than I show on video. I'm looking forward to a video featuring your new circuits! I'm glad I could be a part of the inspiration.

This is so relaxing and interesting. Watching your diy videos puts me in a very meditative mood every time. Also, phasers are cool! Maybe a chorus next? Or even a phaser/chorus, a phorus?:) The classic modulation effects can be so good at introducing motion to music. I like to think of phasers like ocean waves. Thank you for such a nice, inspirational video! 27:46 I did a little celebration dance right here:)))

Hahaha! I love it - Phorus is next! Thank you so much for watching all the way to the end. I really couldn't believe it when everything synced up. So many things went wrong during that build, it was just a relief that something actually functioned the way it was designed to. 😅

This reminds me of the ghost mansion level in the old super Mario brother games! Incredible to see this phaser come to life with a variety of instruments synthesized together. Really cool 😎

Oh wow - that really brings back specific memories for me! I bet video game music has had more of an effect on my sensibilities than I suspected. I found a YT video that surveys the evolution of the Ghost Houses and it kinda blew my mind how imaginative the scenes are! kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHqtZ5aVo8SnjNU

Fascinating! Distortion and wah-wah next?
@pbartmess
@pbartmess 8 ай бұрын
Oooh, wah each would be good, wouldn't it? I'm curious how to pros make a distortion pedal. I seem to stumble upon it by mistake every time I try to make something. I remember Fran Blanche talking about the importance of germanium components. It's worth a try!
