One thing you may suggest to NARBC is potentially having a "vendor time". Several conventions and events that I have helped with the coordination have what we call vendor time which is generally for about an hour after close on day one or and hour before open on day two where it is only other vendors allowed in specifically for them to get the chance to actually go around to see the rest of the event booths and purchase things and it has worked out wonderfully for all involved. Just thought I'd throw that out there with my congratulations on raising $30,000 for USark!

@@khills it's just something that I have always suggested implementing because I know that often the people who would conferences and events the most are often the ones that are the vendors themselves! But they are also the ones who often don't get to enjoy it as well. To that end, it has always been met with resounding success in the events that I have helped to coordinate that have done it.

Spicy things so Ed will be assured snakes too. A cooler, ideal for all future road trips to pack snacks for going to & packing perishables when coming home. Cozy winter hats for those Minnesota winters (srsly, so cute!). A Jolly for Rex. A crocheted snake where Emily can create her own morph… because you know Emily will enjoy that. So much thoughtfulness and kindness. I think it’s proof that you get back what you put out into the world because we know that’s what Ed and Emily send out into the world. Kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity. ❤❤❤ And can we talk about that generosity! What a massive donation to do such good works! Go Snake Fam Go! What a lovely group to count myself part of. Morgan… I hope you see this because I want to tell you that that angler fish is absolute genius! So cute. So clever! What an adorable little desk companion. I love your vids, guys. I've been watching for almost a year now. I had to quit doing reptile stuff years ago because I just didn't have the income and ability to keep any. But now that we own a home I've gotten a few and your videos have helped me a lot. And I super enjoy these videos about the shows you go to. The thing I love most about them is being able to see the show through your eyes, and the conversations you have with vendors. Basically helping us at home learn. That's why I watch these videos of shows in particular. But lately, the time in the video for that portion has gotten shorter and shorter. I'm not saying I'm going to quit watching them, and I 100% understand wanting to make time for the fans that are at the show who want to see you. However, please also consider your fans at home; we want to see the vendors and interviews with them. And if you don't have time to do that, it kind of sucks for us. Maybe take half of one day to see the vendors and shoot animal/vendor content? Or just one day for that and one day for seeing people in person? 15 minutes also doesn't seem fair to ya'll as vendors who like to acquire new animals.

If you're planning on standing in line (which you're well aware of there being)...why wouldn't you bring a folding chair/stool/walker/wheelchair/scooter ect ..??.
@Guiu-fo6tv2 ай бұрын
@hopeless7362 some people don't have just mobile disabilities. Some have disabilities that make waiting very difficult- anxiety disorders, autism and other neurological disorders/disabilities.
@bruixeria2 ай бұрын
The problem that can come with that is that how do people prove they have a disability if it isn't visually obvious? Cause I can guarantee that there will sadly be some people that try to take advantage of something like that.
@TehBuggy2 ай бұрын
Do you have any suggestions for alternative that would help? I know having two lines always lead to disaster and confusion, but I’d genuinely love to learn about how to improve! 😊 When I’ve been in similar situations I’ve waited in line while my friend hung out nearby, and they joined me when it was close to our turn (similar to the kids playing and joining their parents, but less fun games 😂)
@hellomello2582 ай бұрын
@hopeless7362 The solution doesn't work for many. For people with mobility issues, they may not need an expensive mobile device like a wheelchair or scooter often enough to spend money on it. Many people would not be able to carry anything heavier than a cane. So bringing a chair and carrying it around the show wouldn't work. As well, not all disabilities impacted by the long line are mobility related. People can do everything in their power to make the situation better for themselves and it still may not make it accessible without something like a separate seated line and/or a lesser wait time. For instance, I'm sure they have plenty of autistic fans. Some of these fans may go to a show solely to meet them. They may struggle with overstimulation that could make it impossible to stand in line in an area of hard surfaces with noise from crowds and playing children. They'll likely bring noise cancelling headphones or ear plugs, as well as a sensory toy or fidget and something to entertain them. They may still not be able to be in line for 3+ hours. They would be denied access because they have less capacity to deal with a chaotic and overwhelming convention space than most fans.

Just putting this out there in the hopes that the right people see this. Why don’t NARBC shows have a Vendors & VIPs Day or Hours? A lot of conventions and large art shows usually offer something like this. The art show I’m thinking of is 4 days. On Thursday, its a shortened day, usually 12-5 or 12-6 so vendors can set up in the morning. Tickets are also less expensive ($5 at the door instead of $10 on Friday & Sunday or $15 on Saturday) & some vendors opt to skip Thursday. On Friday, they have Vendors & VIP Hours. The regular hours are 8am to 6pm but from 6-9pm, there is food & the vendors can check out each other’s stalls & there are between 50 and 100 VIPs who are “friends” of the show & have purchased special tickets ahead of time. Different shows handle it differently, but the point is, the vendors get to actually see what others are selling. I feel like there could be an hour of Vendors Only before the NARBC banquet. To me, that sounds logical, but maybe I’m silly?

First, I love you, Emily and ed I love all ur animals and I enjoy watching ur KZbin videos. I watch ur videos with my dad and we love them. I even told my mom about your videos and she said. “ wow, you know so, much about snakes/turtles, etc.” I just watched the full video start to finish and I’m so glad you got those speckled king snakes I was hoping you would get one. I’m so excited to watch the breeding process happen. I’ve also been watching your videos for years I forgot about your channel for like a year or a little less but when I found it again, your channel instantly gave me nostalgia❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

lmao that Blackland Brown Sugar Bourbon is amazing. I actually got it right after your first video with it. People never believe me when I said the recommendation came from snake and reptile channel!

I didn't even know a chimera like that was possible. Technically, I guess I just never thought of the possibility. That's wild!

I had to watch it again when you said the 30,000 dollar. The applause and the clapping was so beautiful. Goosebumps. The diamond painting, at first I thought it was an eye, and it really puzzled me. But when it was a close up you can deff see it is not.
