Reminder: it’s ok to be nervous when you’re doing something new.. it’s how we grow as a human being! sometimes we have to be uncomfortable to grow emotionally, develop skills that we didn’t know we have, and most importantly it’ll show u that its all in your head and there is nothing to worry about :) Proud of you Andrew! The vulnerability in this video is so brave. I'm so glad you share this with others. So many feel similar or have felt similar. You have an amazing support system. While you are nervous about going to certain functions, have the mindset that each party or social gathering is something you are practicing. It gets easier with practice. It also takes the pressure off. You don't have to be "good" at it. The good thing is you really can't make a mistake at socializing (well, maybe don't go down the red pill and pick up artist route, and you should be fine haha 😅). You did great jumping into a situation that scared you! Each time will get easier. Honestly, the thing that helped me get less socially anxious was working customer service. Working at a pizza place I had to talk on the phone to customers, talk to my co-workers, and talk with customers in person. There was an overall script and protocol that was already in place for how those convos with customers went, and it gave me lots of practice at small talk. You also get practice dealing with some angry people which can be scary, but each time you get through it, you will have more trust in your ability to handle situations like that.

My daughters are your age and it’s like having an inside look at what it may be like for them. Also, I remember all too well that social anxiety when you first get out into the world. Right ! People act like not socializing is "weird" . Don't get me wrong I love talking to people at times it can be fun but other times it's just draining. Small talk isn't my thing. Most people who are so called "social" just want to be accepted by others & that's just "weird" to me. Always be yourself & people will respect that 💯 cause they'll see that you don't care what they think of you .

It's 1000% ok to be nervous, it was your first party, I was petrified at my first one but find your own vibe first, that's the best rule or advice that I can give you find your own vibe that way, no matter what happens, you still have fun, even if everyone else's energy is kind of off, or doesn't match yours. I will go into a party and everyone is just kind of standing around and not dancing but I'm the type of person to make my own dance pit. One thing about me I'MMA BUST A MOVE yuhhhhh Ultimately, Andrew have fun in your own vibe, have fun in your own space, even if it's surrounded by other people. Also you look good with that haircut dawg 💜
