Always a great video and review Chelsea. The packaging was really good for sure. Have tried a few of the Jay Leno products over the years and they seemed to work well. Definitely good to see you can grab something local that works in a pinch.

My local Walmart had some of the Jay Leno products on clearance. Picked up the exterior detail kit which included the wash / quick detailer (bead maker) / dressing / glass cleaner. Impressed with it so far. Walmart is selling A LOT of products nowadays and I feel that the JL line is getting lost in the noise.

Awesome results. I would imagine that Jay Leno would only have his name and cartoon image on quality products. The Detail Firm package all products in individual boxes. Second to none. IMO!

Perfect car...white, thoroughly neglected exterior AND interior, road film, iron fallout, tar, winter assault - non-washed and in general needing EVERYTHING imaginable to revitalize - total cluster - ooof...gooood luck. So far so good... Sounds like you are doing a lot of the job gratis - I'd think it would be at least a $500-700 job. Looking forward to seeing final results.

Good video. I've used Leno's products on my personal vehicle. I like them alot. Chicago Auto Pros, has a video about them. With the whole backstory about them. Pretty interesting.

There seem to be mixed opinions on whether to spray decon on dry or wet paint surface. I don't think it is product specific. Thoughts?

I like wet so it doesnt dry out as fast but if you have hard water it could react to iron in your water so I think thats why some say use dry but I clay while its on vehicle so I prefer wet

When I do paint Corrections and Coatings yes for typical washes no and this one the screws were stripped so I wasn't trying to mess with it

Which clay towel did you end up using? Also - did you move onto a spray sealant after the decon or is that a plausible next step?

I normally use the DIY Detail ultra fine clay towel. After washing and doing a decon you can either move on to you polish step or apply protection
