I just had that very same drone. No flips when the camera is recording. Be very, careful not to get Anything in the motors. Mine is history cause of that in flight. Good video, I'll be watching. Benny

Hello sir, I appreciate your vast drone wisdom. What would be your chose for a brushless drone under 249g - I saw somewhere you really like the L109 Pro but that's too big for my purposes, much thanks!

@@garyjohnson9196 There aren't any drones yet under 249 grams for less than $299 that have a 2 or 3 axis gimbal. If you have the money then get a DJI Mini SE or Fimi Mini. But my S188 is 260 grams. It has a 2-axis gimbal + EIS. The video quality is pretty good. Do they really want you to register for only 10 grams more?? I also liked my SG108 Pro a lot. The video was a little bit shaky and dark. But it flies great. There are two drones under 249 grams with only EIS. The Bugs 19 EIS. And the Potensic Atom. Personally I like the fact they do not have a fragile gimbal. Makes them easier to carry in a bag or pocket. I'm waiting myself for a cheaper $120 or so mini drone with EIS. So it depends on your budget. I expect newer budget models under 249 grams with a 2/3 axis gimbal and/or EIS. What takes them so long? Of course there are plenty fun drones under 249 grams with GPS, brushless motors ( and not to forget SD card slot!) between $80 and $150. But the video won't be stabilized.

@@garyjohnson9196 If you tell me your budget and country I can look for you. The cheapest GPS drone with brushless motors is the S6S. Really small thing. I kinda like it. 70 Euro. But is doesn't have any stabilization or SD card slot. Range won't be great either.

@drie wiel I totally appreciate your knowledge and experience on drones. I see your sage comments everywhere :). I'm in the USA and prefer having a sub 249g brushless motor, 2 or 3 axis gimbal OR at least EIS and sd slot, for $300. At this point it seems ambitious, I've been looking for a couple of years now, I didn't want to go the way of DJI but it's looking that way...

@@garyjohnson9196 The Fimi Mini isn't bad either. But there is something I definitely want: GPS follow-me. For a DJI Mini SE or Mini 1 you can have both active-track (that's optical) and follow-me (GPS) when you buy a third party app such as Litchi, Maven, or Dronelink. These apps also do follow-me the way I want it ( compass type). That's another story I can explain later. So OK. How about the Fimi Mini? Well it does have active-track. But it doesn't quite work as good as on say a DJI Mini 3 or DJI Air. And probably not as good as with one of the apps I mentioned, although I'm not sure about that. There could have been updates. What the Fimi Mini doesn't have as far I know is GPS follow-me! That sucks. Are there third party apps for the Fimi Mini that will add follow-me I wonder? I am not a fan of active track. It often is too slow and unreliable to follow me on a bike. It's a great feature, don't get me wrong. But on a bike without obstacle avoidance sensors? Nope. Often it will only track from behind where I can't keep an eye on it. And since I noticed you had some bike videos on your channel, I think you would like to have a good functioning tracking drone. Now don't expect you can go flat out on a road bike. You have to go a little bit slower for a budget drone to keep up with you. Obstacle avoidance you do not need when you use the tracking/follow feature in the open field away from any potential hazards. And if there is any you can tie the controller to your handlebars and steer it around. Again I would have to explain to you what is important for a drone to follow you. One example: A return-to-controller/update homepoint option! So you don't have to race back in case of lost connection or low battery. A brand that has pretty decent follow drones is C-Fly. I don't know if in the meantime they have a model under 249 grams. The C-Fly Dream S is no longer in production and therefor I can't recommend it anymore. I'll check to see what other models could be interesting. Now I know you are willing to pay $300 or so there are more options.
