Hard to know. But there’s a flip side. Doctors and hospitals are mostly paid as fee for service. Meaning the more procedures or treatments they do, the more they get paid. So they are incentivized to perhaps do procedures or treatments that aren’t always necessary or the best path for patient health. The most blatant example are dentists. Dentists all over the country are filling cavities to patients that don’t have cavities. They are committing insurance fraud. But a filling is only a few hundred bucks, so insurance companies don’t audit it as much. But it adds up for a dentist office.

The main stream media is responsible for making this public to the extent that it is. Over 20,000+ gun related homicides are reported on every year and they are not advertised in the main stream media like this one. So, unless all the other 20,000+ gun related homicides are tried like terrorist attacks, labeling this one as such, is meant to instill fear to the average citizen. The CEO of United Healthcare does not make government policy or, if so, probably violates other laws. Every business makes policy for themselves. Before this, Anthem Blue Shield was considering denying claims for anesthesia past a certain time while the patient was undergoing surgery. After this incident, they decided not to go through with a policy that could endanger someone’s life. The prosecution, will have to prove that the decision from Anthem Blue Cross was in response to a terrorist attack. The prosecution will have to prove that all of these stories online from claimants and doctors expressing their negative past experiences, was in response to a terrorist attack against them, from a 26-year-old. They know they’re not going to get that first-degree sentence, but it was issued to instill fear on the average person.

@knox1044 and I think by elevating it to Man one it's going to be harder for them to prove it. And the likelihood of a hung jury increases. If it had been man two, they had him dead to rights

My benefits for next year are cut AGAIN. I have United Health Care. I am old, poor and cannot get coverage for basic health concerns. I worked, raised 5 children and paid taxes for 40 years. I doubt if this CEO, and others like him, go without much of anything, except maybe have worries about who has the biggest yacht. I don't believe in killing but wonder how many slow and painful deaths are caused by not having health care when it is urgently needed. c

He shot a guy, explained why he did it with his writing on the casings. He might have gotten charged only with first degree. But because the internet blew up with calls for other CEOs to be afraid, and called Luigi their hero, he & they created an atmosphere of terror for CEOs, insurance executives and other healthcare workers. Those people helped to get him charged with terrorism.

Nobody can be held accountable for the actions of another person. Secondly, the ceo's killing innocent people by denying care people paid for is the cause of all of this if you insist on going down that route.
